Why does God allow Suffering?

I am going to summarize what is linked below.

Basically Satan questioned God's right to rule mankind. Since then many men have questioned God's right to rule mankind. Man tries to rule themselves, and look at the results. We have a multitude of corruption, hypocrisy, and evil, all from our leaders no less! With time, this evil world will end up destroying itself, which is what God will step in to stop, after finally proving that Mankind is incapable of ruling itself.

Matthew 24:21,22 "21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short."

Why do people think that though? That's a silly notion to me that if a higher power did exist, that they'd "help" us. I don't help ants build their little ant hills. Nope. I spray dem with da hose!!!

The problem is, is that what happens if we keep waiting for something that's never going to happen. I respect all beliefs, but it seems that there is a little bit of "Trust us, God's going to help everyone in need....SOME day...any day now..."

@TheFisherman, the bible is not all literal. Science has proven the earth to be much older than a mere 7000 years. Haven't you ever heard of someone say, "well back in my day..." They are not talking about just 1 day are they? The bible is no different.

Take a look at Hebrews 4:1-10 and take notice of verses 4-6 in particular. PAUL EXPLAINS THAT THE CREATIVE DAY OF GOD'S REST IS STILL IN EFFECT 4000 YEARS LATER. These days were clearly much longer than our typical day. Days also have other varying lengths, especially as THE ENTIRE CREATION OF HEAVEN AND EARTH WAS REFERRED TO AS JUST 1 DAY IN GENESIS 2:4, when originally it was mentioned as 6 days.


Actually the Bible doesn't say anything about when the Earth was made, it just says "in the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth", for all we know the Bible meant billions of years between that first "being made" and then the next creative step.

In short, I think, as a Calvinist, that, God uses the evil of the world so that we can really know and understand more of God's attributes and therefore have a more complete fellowship in perfection with Him in heaven. Attributes like wrath, justice, love, mercy, grace, happiness cannot be understood by a humanity that is unfamiliar with the opposites. [I am talking about the communicable attributes of God.] We should also be careful NOT to blame or say God is at fault for allowing something He didn't actually do, or give action to. If that were the case and God is guilty based on allowing, none of us could go to heaven period because 1.) A God who is blamable would be nothing but in an existence of Hell himself. 2.) We'd be absolutely blamed for the existence of one sin in our lives, without pardon. We'd be more guilty, being the creations that flaunt and spread it around. It'd be easier for God to just completely annihilate us.

I am a Christian, and I believe Satan was an angel who wanted to be like God. They are fighting in the spirit world right now. Satan has made us also like demons, however, Jesus died for us so that all who believe in him will have eternal life.


The bible explains that Satan is on the earth now.
(Revelation 12:7-9,12)

My faith is not blind at all! Have I not used my powers of reasoning to explain all the things that I have said? I have not spoken to you as your other religious leaders have. I have in fact used scientific proof, Illustrations, and other methods of explanation to help you all to understand the truth in God's word.

@Edark what lolwut said does not contradict the bible at all, but actually goes along with it. I will just say that God is far smarter than any human, so it is not at all a human's position to tell him what to do.

Not only 144,000 can fit into heaven. 144,000 of those who were once men will be chosen for heaven. There are already according to the bible at least TEN MILLION ANGELS IN HEAVEN.

Why let men be angels? I personally think(not scriptural) that God is making even more fun of Satan, who thinks that he should be God, by making those who were humans(less than angels) greater than the angels that are not part of the 144,000, because anyone who becomes an angel after being a man becomes immortal.

Read 1 Corinthians 15:50-54, but take notice of 53 especially.

And QRich, as far as God creating us flawed and then getting mad at us, read the paragraphs 19-21of the same link that I told you to read 11-18 of.
