Above all things I do not wish to argue anything about the situation or about anything related to race right now, really I just want to see what people from around the world are thinking about St. Louis and the situation.
There are white people in the crowds being tear gassed and a small yet significant number of the riot members are very anti white. I'm not excusing anything wrong done by white people, I am only mentioning the obvious tension.
in my home town a college age student was carrying a watergun and was shot in the back by a police officer with an assault rifle. didn't make it past local news
white people are shot point blank range by cops for no reason quite often. those stories don't make the news often because it would reveal the real threat to our society is the militarization of our police

White people are being stereotyped but not tear gassed
the real issue here is police brutality and its a nationwide issue against whites, blacks, mexicans... anyone unlucky enough to be in the line of fire.
turning this into a racial issue is like calling someone a racist for hating obama's policies
after all the progress we have made. its so sad. im not going to pretend like racism was over, but it wasn't shoved in our faces on a daily basis or inciting waves of violence.
