I just finished Inferno by Dan Brown (part of the Da Vinci Code series) and the main topic was like overpopulation and not reproducing to lower the population counter. Kinda similar to this group. Kinda dumb tbh
humans capable of reproduction are not allowed to discuss reproduction unless they've been laid at least twice in the last ten years, or are no longer a virgin.
thank u ariel244 for your teenage angst-filled trying-too-hard-to-be-edgy post!
not super sure why y'all are discussing this, considering most of you are either virgins or get laid once every 10 years.
also i want kids and i dont want someone else's kids sorry not sorry. or if i do adopt, i want my own kids in addition. i am a selfish human being. humans are just selfish ok.
Possibly. I suspect it'd be less passive - mass euthanasia of the old or infirm would probably occur (not condoning it but that's what would probably happen) before we simply 'give up' medicine. There'd be crime and riots where people are trying to get hold of said medication (and then possibly sell it on the black market).
If this were the case, we'd cease to use any medicines or medical treatment. Natural selection would have probably killed you by now but for this treatment. So unless we abandon the use of drugs and life-prolonging surgery, natural selection alone won't cut it.
Which is what would happen once we reach the point where our species' existence on Earth is no longer sustainable.
There have to be controls put in place for human population at some point anyway because human exploitation of resources is already considered to be at a rate which is unsustainable in the long term.
one of the biggest indicators is earth overshoot day
