Derf you have your opinion I have mine, be well and try to hear it first hand. Bye
So you're admitting you are there first-hand? How could that be, Winningduh? You are in Phil-- OH.

Sharing accounts with banned users to allow them to evade that ban is not a good idea.

"Biased" things - like facts. Yeah.

A warning shot that is itself a lethal explosion is not much of a warning shot. Then 90 seconds later, to have your home destroyed? Doesn't seem all that fair either.

Explain how, if the Israelis are at such person risk, that only 29 Israeli people have died during this current conflict, 27 of them being military (probably includes some friendly fire incidents as well), and over 600 Palestinians have died, 100+ being children under the age of 12. Just explain that fact. Explain how that's at all reasonable or just or fair or necessary.

Before I go and leave this post since it's getting nowhere and I've already made my point, know that, yes. The warning shot could be what Emmer suggested but you're straying from the point; they GET a warning shot. Those glass injuries or casualties could be confirmed kills from the jump. I feel that death regardless is unnecessary, but for anyone to attempt to injure or kill as little civilians as possible during this stiuation deserves acknowledgement not criticism. Also, strive to hear both sides of the story, not biased news reports or "articles". Attempt to befriend someone going through the situation on BOTH sides, then forge your own opinion. Byeee and be safe all.

All in all, Israel has lost 29 people – two of them civilians, with two soldiers killed on Tuesday, as stated by the country’s militia. This death toll is the highest number of Israeli military deaths since the 2006 Lebanon war.

(Note - one of the two civilians killed was delivering food to the IDF troops at the time of death.)

Here's another - from RT.com (any reason why Russian media would be biased?)

http://rt.com/news/174632-deaths-israeli-gaza-operation/

Israel kept up attacks on Gaza on Tuesday, killing three Palestinians and hitting over 70 targets, including five mosques, a sports stadium and the home of the deceased Hamas military chief.

The latest casualties in the fortnight-long violence have brought the Palestinian death toll to 633, reports AP, citing health officials. The majority of the victims are civilians, including almost 100 children.

Additionally, nearly 500 homes have been destroyed in the Israeli bombardments and 100,000 people have been displaced, said Jens Laerke, spokesman of the UN Office for Humanitarian Assistance (OCHA) at a Geneva news briefing.

A United Nations school which is helping to shelter displaced Palestinians in the center of Gaza also came under attack from Israeli fire as a team was inspecting damage from the day before, a UN official said.

The official mentioned that a team, who had been given permission by Israel to enter, were at the school, which is run by the UN in Al-Maghazi, when Israeli tanks resumed their shelling and hit the building.

Lol it burst the windows Oh goodness. I digress, you have no idea how many warning shots were fired prior. Nice sources.
What about losing your home 90 seconds later? Where do those people go? What do they do for food? Water? Shelter?

This is why Hamas launches missiles. To give Israel 5% of what they give the Palestinian people.

I'm not getting into the deep dark political digress of whether there should be bombs at all, I'd just want my roof.

If we're purely discussing warnings, I think I'd prefer a beeping alert on my laptop to losing my roof.
Losing your roof - and then 90 seconds later, your whole house and everything in it. Besides - did you see any missiles or militants there?
deleteddeletedabout 12 years ago
Warning shots are supposed to warn, not kill. Besides - giving people 90 seconds to leave their homes isn't really fair either, now is it?

There are no military buildings in Gaza. There are few buildings left. The place has been bombed to crumbs by the IDF. People have no where to hide, because even the beaches aren't safe, even if the IDF say they are.
Winningduhabout 12 years ago
They always fire a warning shot before they attack

That was a harmless warning shot. Educate yourself
Harmless... that blew out the windows on the top floor.

"non human hospital airstrike" this is Hamas headquarters. Not only do they shoot at soldiers from there; they shoot rockets and have leadership meetings. This is also where the leaders hide because it is essentially the "safest place".

When the place was hit it was empty of civilians because they were warned many times before, and not only with a warning bomb like derfel is trying to make everyone believe.

Lol where do you get your exceedingly false information?
I included links up there. One is actually a video, so you can see with your own eyes.
the video where you have no idea how many warning shots occured?
So that seems like a reasonable way to warn people their homes are about to be destroyed? By firing a bomb that's only lethal to those people living on the top floor?

That, right there, shows the huge holes in your morality and sense of humanity.
