I'd also like to point out the sources you chose to represent your ideas were Fox News and the Jewish Virtual Library. Fair and balanced, anyone?

"Ridiculous" may have been the wrong word then, this case isn't a "ridiculous extreme", but that wasn't the point.

Wait - you aren't being sarcastic? You are saying you believe the Israeli army to give 100% unbiased information about their own actions? Really? That's what you believe?
You think relying on one source reporting on their own actions is more reliable than multiple international news agencies and third-party eye witness?
Wow. There just isn't any sense continuing to speak with you if that's the case.
I'm assuming you wouldn't hold the same standard to the Palestinians reporting on their own actions, etc?
"Utilitarian to a ridiculous extreme" is a slander of utilitarianism

And the extremists weren't even the people I was talking about in my first post, but the pedestrians, or more accurately those who have very little to do with the extremists or their respective governments (the "innocents").
Your generalizing. Besides, condemning those with an inability to conduct themselves as such to death is utilitarian to a ridiculous extreme and I doubt all the apathy is held by people who think this way.
"The Israeli military said the reported civilian casualties were unintended and "tragic" and it was investigating what happened. "Based on preliminary results, the target of this strike was Hamas terrorist operatives," it said in a statement."
"Israel urged the evacuation of several districts in the Gaza Strip where more than 100,000 people live, threatening a ground offensive."
So you consider the Israeli army an unbiased source of information regarding Israeli army actions?
Yeah, that makes sense. It totally does.
yeah definitely 100% that's what i mean not like i posted articles from a plethora of news sources, none of which were from the israeli army themselves i mean the UN aren't a reputable source or anything you're right derfel thanks for clearing things up for me

I really don't get the apathy people have developed towards pedestrian deaths (on both sides).
No one cares anymore because over the last half century both extremes have continually demonstrated an inability to conduct themselves like civil adults
Hamas' intentions and actions are being equated with those of the Palestinian people, what the hell us up with that? (It happens with the Israelis too, but on a lesser degree). Either way, the Israeli retaliation has been grossly overdone. They're showing very little restraint, if any. Few sources actually deny the disgusting death tolls piling up in Gaza. Yes, Israel's been hit, but it's much worse for a citizen of Gaza than it is for an Israeli, stop trying to deny that the common Gazan (?) citizen is getting *** over right now.

... mind you, I didn't think MIT was an arm of Hamas propaganda to begin with...
as i've said, when 1500 rockets are fired into a country, the defence mechanisms may not be able to cope. but at least they are making the EFFORT to stop the bombs. i don't see hamas doing anything of the sort.
