The moderator had shared account with the attacker either by mistake or on purpose thinking that he would not be attacked.
Then the moderator lied to the whole mod team saying that he was given some malicious link.
Or the whole mod team bought the story of " i once shared account with him and he figured out a way to link it back to my account " and they collectively decided to come up with a story saying that there was a malicious link.
In each of these cases the admin is protecting the leak.
The mod who lied to the whole mod team about his account situation must have shared account in past, and must receive a vio for sharing accounts with banned user. This is a vio by precedence even if it was a mistake. If the admin believes the whole story then he has no reason to hide it and be afraid that the community might not believe.
They are afraid that the community will demand a punishment which means the mod's story does not fit and that the claims of the community will be difficult to handle.
If there was nothing wrong then they have no reason to hide it. Many users have violations because of mistakes. They deserve to know the truth and they can't see any one getting away with this.
I told you that there was no malicious link, and that it was a theory. I explained what had happened earlier. It was my initial thought because there was a coincidental timing between the PMs and the reports getting deleted. The moderator wasn't phished either. This moderator made a mistake and this allowed weareking access to this person's account.
It's basically like if you let your laptop with EM open and a banned user got on that way and did stuff on your account - he never had to log onto the account since it was already logged on for him.
ok so bronto-- here is the most important question--
- there is absolutely no script that can give away your password. No matter what link you click. Unless you go onto the em page (one that looks like the em page(phishing attack)) and type your password there.
Each and everybody knows this attack.
So how is it possible that someone was tricked into typing his password?
only explanation is that the mod shared an account.
2- why did the attacker not send the link to any other mod or any other user and try to get his password?
3- why did the attacker get the password of the only mod who has been friends with the attacker in the past and has shared his account with the attacker in the past ( of which i have conclusive evidence and everybody has the knowledge of)
4- there is absolutely no such link that would look even remotely legit and can direct you onto a page or make you give away your password, so why did the mod not check the address bar?
5- you are so sure my password is safe, which only means that you know very well that there is no malicious link that will look safe. if there were then you would out the kind of link it was. or the link itself so we can be wary of it.
6- since you refuse to out that link flagging it as malicious, we can conclude that it doesnt exist.
7- if there was a link that looked malicious and was malicious then how is it possible that any sane user who is modded can click on that link.
8- em is coded such that its passwords dont go out by clicking some link unless you type your pass on a phishing page.
i want answers to all these questions.

at the very least, due to what pranay reports and how he does it, i can't imagine any of the mods think highly of him. it's probably a one-way street.

i actually don't think pranay is friends with any of the mods.
you think i am asking from people? why do you care to comment? if there is nothing? i am just waiting for him to pm. he has to be online at least once in 24 hours.
