The round was reset again, and the setups were temporarily removed meaning that everyone got either 5 or 10 hearts, but could not play them. The round was then unpaused over midnight so that anyone who only received 5 hearts gained an additional5 hearts, while those with 10 gained none.

Are you sure? The round was unpaused right before hearts went out last night so everyone should've had 5 and then gotten their second batch of 5 today. It's paused so there aren't 5 more given out tomorrow.

The round is paused currently because everyone had ten hearts. After the next reset passes, the round will be unpaused. So basically you get 2 days to play 10 hearts instead of 5 then 5.
