too op. there is a reason why there is not saving roles sided with mafia. vigs are too weak anyway, dont make them weaker. also, why would he start with a vest?

it's only use is the 50% risk of killing a vig/other townkilling role

why would mafia ever guard a townie

mafia isnt necessarily outted. the vig could hit a guarded townie, which will either kill the vig and drastically help the mafia or simply block his kill. even if the vig survives, the townie looks scummy as hell, given they survived the shot. if you ask me, the 50/50 chance of killing the vig is worth the risk if you have a vest.

Done but that still leaves this role vulnerable to outing two mafia

is there anyway i can deactivate and edit the role then? just thinking i may as well change it. keep the guard ability but instead of converting he just starts with a vest. that at least lets him save once or survive a single vig shot.

Here's how your logic makes this role work: If guard target is chosen for a kill, 50% Henchman will die, 50% killer will die. If Henchman is targeted directly, he'll become a Nilla instead of die. - That's how the role will work. Now you've got two abilities that actually help him in now way - 1) If he saves his partner and dies in his partners place (which is what will happen), his partner is also confirmed mafia. 2) If he is targeted by vigilante, he is confirmed mafia regardless. Claiming docced doesn't work, because doc can easily disprove it. Claiming vested doesn't work unless there is a BP in the setup and you're CCing that. Blacksmith/Santa will only disprove your claim.

It wouldn't apply to the BG death, though. He's not being targeted for a kill in that scenario, so he'll die as henchman, confirming both him and his partner as mafia.

o your latter comment, thats why i made it so he converts himself into nilla instead of dying. this applies to being the vig's kill as well as bg death. so he doesnt die when his guard fails.

if he doesnt die with targetted, the protected can claim vested, docced, or anything else. besides, the henchman can protect anyone, so he can protect a likely kill like the obvious fool instead of his mafia bros

Actually, I can't really see a plausibility for this role.

If you guard a mafia-bro and they get shot at, and instead you die, all you do is die and confirm your partner mafia for the vigilante who survived.

Everything sounds good except the conversion aspect, because very few town roles kill at night and if he doesn't die when targeted all the shooter has to do is say "I shot this guy he didn't die"

Mafia BG. Loses ability to guard instead of dying. The 50/50 chance of dying would otherwise make the ability too unappealing to use.
