Hostage
  • Cannot vote.
  • Cannot talk during the day, nor see day discussion.
  • The Hostage is revealed to all players at game start.
  • At least 1 Mafia must vote the Hostage at night. If no one does, the Hostage is freed and becomes a normal Villager.
  • If Mafia tries to kill the Hostage the same night the Hostage is visited by anyone else (that does not kill), the ropes around the hostage are untied, and the Hostage becomes a normal Villager instead of dying.
  • Sided with the Village.

@mentos, remember that if the mafia opt out of voting the hostage, the village gets an extra vote, not just a confirmed inno. LYLO -> MYLO, and MYLO -> ML day. Mafia won't want to give town a free lynch.

But the fact that they'd have to catch up with basically all the game's discussion (and figure out who is or isn't lying about it) should also be neat too.

While this is quite interesting, I have a feeling it would be insanley boring to play until rescued haha :) <-- Maybe give them a slide puzzle to do until they die or get rescued lol
