and thats what im thinking renai. it would be a fun role for sandbox, but it was just a small idea. Good setups are FAR more valuable than good roles, but I think that, at least with watcher/tracker conversion, if not a good deal of other roles, it will put more emphasis on scumhunting and less emphasis on following the leader.

The problem with all these new roles is that people just say "THIS WOULD BE AWESOME" without thinking about HOW it would be awesome.

People should have to come up with a set-up for every new role. What does YAK 2.0 add to EM?

As others have said, I don't like how lucid is going to replace yak with it. Honestly, I think the role gives the mafia too much power, whereas with converting every role to nilla maf, some skill and craft was involved to win. This role could be called the Blackmailer or something, since all the roles become their counterpart.

i think lynchers and other third party along with the miller be a nilla because survivor and fool isn't maf which defeats the purpose of yak even if they could joint. and blue as gf! :D

The only reason Lucid is considering this to replace Yak is because Boris named it 'Yak 2.0'. But, it shouldn't replace Yak, it should be its own role and Yak should stay as it is.
That, or miller should become Godfather and blue should become normal Mafia. Also, Mason and Cult should turn into normal maf as well, so that they can't be re-recruited.

I didn't want it to replace yak tbh. I was thinking of DLYV when writing this up, and I enjoy that setup. There should be a downside instead of just making yakuza more powerful, in my opinion. Maybe it can't be doc saved, maybe it requires two consecutive nights to work properly, or something. I didn't want it replacing yak entirely though, just something different.

name it corruptor, or recruiter. recruits people for basic gang, but any one who shows skill in a field becomes a more advanced role, as in watcher to the lookout etc.
