It looks like it can friend more than once, which causes the mess with alignment hopping to always win. Also, town can kill the pony at night but mafia have no way of getting the pony lynched during the day. Is also missing what happens if it befriends 3rd party. Needs 3rd party effect, a one-time ability, and imo the effects for town and mafia switched and taking the alignment of befriended.

The befriended person should win with full points if the lover wins, otherwise they would consider outting them to town on a ML (or Nightkilling them as mafia) to let their faction get more points (assuming if the lover wins, the other winning faction gets less points like with survivor; if this isn't the case then the lover can just claim and no one in the village will care to kill it off).
