i said theres a difference between sharing acct and being hacked.. i never actually said that it has limits

the actual rules page does NOT state that users should get violations for rulebreaking that happened while someone is using their account. otherwise, it would say so under that provision.

also, the terms of service do not directly correlate with the moderating rules. the moderating rules regulate the internal operation of the site. the terms of service are a list of external legal provisions.

you admitted right there that the "responsible for your own account" rule has limits, and that if an external actor messes with your account and you have proof of it, you should not get a violation for rulebreaking that happened in your account.

it does matter. if a user gets hacked and they have proof of it, should they get punished for what the hacker did? we all know the moderation system doesn't actually work like that.

yeah, but I'M admitting to doing the throwing. the only actual thing meeko did that was against the rules was sharing her password with a banned user, and i already had her passwords before. should a user that has been hacked (*cough* charley) be banned because someone hijacked her account?
