Excessive bad play is often done on purpose. Excessive bad play might also have an argument that is tantamount to trolling.
If someone says something like: "I claimed now you are forced to lynch (eg in hollywood illusions)" ... it's not gt according to the rules, nor is it trolling because, sure, you're still trying to win, but you severely lower your chances (arguably, but if you do) which should be equivalent to gamethrowing as it is consistently against (reducing) your 'win condition.'
Also based on those facts, i think this is a distinguishable case from any other gt cases.
if you tell me its optimal, i will believe it when i see the stats and the games where it has proven optimal. until then, i remain opposed to it because ive never seen it work well, i can only judge based on the games ive played and read.
TBH outing as GS and leading lynch D1 is optimal. Gun is to make the game lynch on lylo instead of mylo, when it's mylo then to give ml, but when it's lylo then THE GUN IS USELESS. I don't know why you put so much importance on the gun if shooting it on lylo is a big mistake because you don't give the mafia to kill some of blue cc but you keep one more blue alive with no additional ml.
And yep, Avon thinking pranay outing GS D1 as maf was terrible thought. He had the reason to lynch Avon without the risk of cop being fished, but bomb and the rest town also decided to lynch Avon although pranay pushed on him, so don't blame him for leading the lynch on uncc'd cop because he wasn't the only one hammering Avon between selfs.

Also, betmen, "He knows who is cop" means that he thinks Real Cop is hiding, and it doesn't mean that he is gamethrowing. Js.

No matter how bad of a play this was, it is still not gamethrowing because it wasn't intentional.
oh and for the record, even if pranay was unccd gs and could hypothetically lead, avon was unccd cop and pranay should have asked for ccs instead of proclaiming "he knows who is cop" timestamp 12:58 - 12:59 and that is gamethrow on its own.
the odds of hammering town (and subsequently cop) are higher than hammering mafia. it's simple math. you had literally 0 reason to claim as gs there. I am weighing in because I think this strategy (your word for what you did this game, not mine. because to me calling "outting as pr on day 1 for no reason" a strategy is a joke and disgrace) really needs to be addressed
outting as gs on d1 and having a 1/7 chance of hitting hooker (1/6 if you get the cop to claim too) to allow you to do your job as gunsmith is not playing to your win condition. you essentially F everyone's game because you think you can lead the town. how many times have you won with this strategy of yours? please link every single game you can find (at least this round if you're too lazy to look beyond) where you have successfully hit hooker or lawyer on day 1.
if you were actually gs outing on day 1 YOU GAMETHREW by claiming for no reason, this absolutely goes against your win condition. hence why i stated it was unlikely you were gs.
Wrong- i outed as gs on day1 to lynch on day1. Avon then softed my role entire day and when asked to confirm if he was gs, he refused to talk. Then claimed cop at end and i did not believe his cop claim. Even the bomb agreed with me that avon was mafia. If avon was playing legit, he had no reason to do what he did. He did not even unvote and ask for ccs when we were lynching him. He just wanted to lose knowing that i was the gs.
