How is this gamethrowing based on the fact that he did not follow the "possible strategies" already given by four people who posted for this specific game set up? First of all, that completely defeats the purpose of mafia games: scum-hunting, and it also gives no room for further improvements to the set up. Betmen is a great player who knows how to scum hunt-- better yet, he has always shot day 1 and picked out the scums in most of the games he has played. And if you read the game, noxon could definitely have been considered scummy from betmen's point of view-- or rather, coasting to avoid hard claiming. Please reconsider this ban, for it is unjust to punish a player for not following a "meta" strategy.
He was playing to his win condition this should definitely be appealed. I as mafia tend to freeze when im asked that sorta question too i reacently realized it so when someone doesn't answer like betmen said I would scumread them too. He was playing to his win condition. It's not hipfiring if he gave him 3 minutes to claim his role. DIFFERENT STRATS THAN THE NORM ARE NOT GAMETHROWING. Shooting day 1 does not mean hipfiring. Hipfiring is shooting without asking for a claim."bad play" isn't GTIng. I shoot day 1 in this setup sometimes too. (betmen I'd appeal this tbh)
betmen, hello. I am getting sick of reading your games where you shoot on Day 1. This is very bad play, and it is happening too much. I did not give you a violation for the game where you shot MikeyRu and then led a lynch on a second blue, but reading the game was not enjoyable. I understand that you were frustrated that noxon did not respond to you, but he has explained everything very clearly in the comments section. I have played games where mafia just stay quiet when people ask them to claim almost as if they were shell-shocked. Look, I've had precedence of shooting on day 1 in this setup. check all the games ive played as sheriff this round, i shoot day 1. you as a player of the game have no right to tab out for 3 minutes no matter what role you are. that is that really. at the bare basics of this argument: i shot you because you didnt claim for 3 minutes after immense pinging. you cant say i have no right to perceive that as mafia
You could've left me, you could've gone for someone else, you could've not shot, as is NORMAL in the setup, but yet you chose to shoot someone after first claiming you would not shoot. Without getting a claim.
if you thought we were all NLing. how would you not check the game even after 1 minute or 2 minutes when you realize the day change sound hadnt happened yet after so long? why would you not check to see what was happening?
Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying, I was gone waiting for the next day. You had already announced there would be no d1 shooting, and everyone was already nl'ing when i went away waiting for the next day to come. You can't fault me for not answering you when everything was laid up for me to assume it was okay for me to not be there. You had no reason to fos me at that time, no reason to shoot me, and yet you did. How is that not hipfiring?
pinged him over a span of 3 minutes btw. 10:53 - 13:56. no response. by the time you were shot, youre saying you didnt check the game for 3 minutes when (lets say we actually NL'd) the night wouldnt take 3 minutes long. so you'd check to see what happened anyway. if you did not check the game for 3 minutes while i ping you then this is no where near my fault.
as sheriff im allowed to change my mind about shooting if i feel like it as long as i ask for claims. plus, with the amount of pinging i did, you have no reason not to tab in so i assumed you were faking it. look at how much i pinged you dude, you say you were waiting to hear day change sound but cannot hear pinging sound? ok.
