Hey, I'd just like to say thanks a bunch for getting rid of all the spam bots on the wiki. It's so much easier to navigate now, ending up on articles about lemon scented shampoo from Moscow got a bit annoying sometimes!

I'm pretty sure the 25,000+ Spam pages is a damn good reason to wipe it and start fresh. Yes, the crap to information ratio is so absurd, it's less work to copy the stuff we want to keep than it is to delete the stuff we don't.

You don't think that's a reason to start fresh? Think again.

And yes, adding a captcha like I asked Lucid to do several times last year would reduce the spam. But it does nothing to thespam that already exists.

i can't post on the forum but theres no reason to nuke the wiki. Wouldn't adding a captcha to registration stop the spam?
