I would really like to talk more with you about this if you get the chance. Manually, I've tried figuring out optimal probabilities for particular setups and, just as you said, it was nightmare. In fact, I'm having doubts as to how I can even do it manually anymore. However, I believe a recursive algorithm can be used to make this "nightmare" much more bearable. For example, if a player is faced with decision A vs. decision B, manually we would have to figure out what the probability of winning if decision A is made, and then do it again for decision B. A recursive algorithm can easily accomplish this. The algorithm would simply run itself for decision A, run itself for decision B, and return whichever decision yielded the highest probability.
