ABC... What now?

over 5 years

So most ppl will think abc is just a joke ( in a positive way ) But it's really a problem. Banned users are just joining ranked games and ruin everything for other players ( making accounts to force meteor on town, ... ) This needs to change because it's a really big problem that doesn't get talked about. If real new players join they could get confused by this situation... ( just imagine it ). Is there nothing we can do against it?

Is the noavi a new player that wants to play a new game or is it a banned user cheating and ruining the game? Are we allowed to kick those players?

Discuss, because of now mods ( if they are even online ) bans the player after the player is reported and then the banned user can still ruin multiple games.

Do something, add rules, new system, whatever

Good idea ( if the host kicks them ;o )

Mods: Think 10 year about solving the problem

spooky, what i proposed is that any host can kick people with under a certain number of points (lets say 500) from red heart games

it allows people to kick sui accounts, but it will not help hosts just grudge kick people.

we get him a girlfriend and a therapist

No, because then everyone will try to get banned for the free girlfriend and therapist.

we get him a girlfriend and a therapist

So we are going to do nothing and let banned players just make new accounts and join?

Won't be long before more players do that...

I have a suggestion maybe

What about raising the games you need to play before you can ranked? So that new players would do that amount of time and the banned players feel like it's a lot of time to do that?

Like for example look at comp games, the banned players need to play so much before they can play comp. Do a system like this and it's completely solved!

This is a pretty good idea

The low amount of unranked games means we just increase the barrier of entry for real noobs, which is already way too high at the moment.
As it stands a new guy who doesnt know how this website works is sh*t out of luck and must hope a good soul creates some gnh for him to join, then have people join that game, and then he must hope to be roped in on how setups work, the mechanics...if you're not determined for some reason you'll never make it.

More realistically, noobs are stuck getting bullied by coldie in mainbox and never come back. Most new people are alts. So I don't agree on increasing the barrier of entry to play ranked.

Abc is a meme and never joins more than 15-20 minutes when he does, i don't find him that hard to deal with. I like suicide race pauses.

The easiest way I can imagine to solve this is to allow back kicking in red hearts, but it would ONLY work if the kicked has under 1500 points. This can be abused, but it would be fine to prevent abc alts.

Then what if a new player gets kicked
And it also doesn't solve the problem because they will join other red heart games and ruin those.

As for your other lines, okay I could agree unfortunately.

then if they are lucky they find sandbox and get kicked for not having an avatar

- stops banned players ( or at least stops that it happens a lot

- new players have had more experience when they join ranked

And much more advantages if you just think about it

And it's not hard to change

Wow! That is actually a perfect idea. That way new players will get to practice more before joining a ranked game. Please make this happen!

say, mayhaps, you are right. what do you expect the mods to do about it? ip ban the man? uses vpn and returns. ban every newbie thinking they are abc? "mod abuse" or they might legitamatley be a newb. kick from rank? users will abuse the system. Alt check? wont work cause, again, vpn. Maybe take it to lucid. what can lucid do about it? maybe ban vpns but ppl will still find vpns to overcome the vpn filter.

so what would the mods do to change the situation that they have not already tried doing?
