You have trouble accepting change because of societal influences raising you on status quo-frozen media like cartoons and comics. You also have snowglobe and lego collections that further demonstrate this. What you need to do is find a way to accept that resetting the stakes after 30 years of world-changing content in a story-driven universe is in fact a form of changing up the status quo and is original storytelling.
I've consumed a lot of anarchist literature like The Dark Knight and Clerks, so my personal philosophy is that the only way you can make something better is by first deconstructing it. Many of the new roles subvert people's expectations of how mafia is supposed to work. I also think that adding stuff that everybody likes is boring; it's much better when you can start a dialogue by making half of your audience love a role and half of your audience hate it.
You need a cool gimmick so that you stand out from the crowd. Why not an anime avatar, 4-letter username (probably an adjective,) and pastel username and text colors? Make sure you have several accounts like this with distinction so nobody confuses you for any other users. Also be sure to type exclusively in lowercase without punctuation, so as to make yourself accessible.
If that isn't up your alley, why not try spamming relatable surrealist memes on the lobby wall and talking in a cryptic manner whenever you join games? People will see that you're quirky and have a unique sense of humor, so they'll respect you for being so open about how weird you are.
Or just get banned, it has a Manson fangirl-like effect on some users.
A great trick you can do is repeat this mantra to yourself: "I was 16 then, how was I supposed to know what I was doing was so wrong? I was young and dumb back then." What's cool about this is that since physically speaking you cannot predict when you will die, you can change out the number 16 for any other time in your life when you acted poorly. Who cares if you're 21, a legal drinker in the US and registered for selective services? You were young and didn't know what you were doing! 30 years old with a job and long-term relationship? Come on, that was so long ago. Quarter-life crises are very common in people's 50s these days, mistakes are mistakes so let bygones be bygones!
What you should do is be proactive in keeping minors off the internet; some of their fooling around could come back and bite them when they're older! But you can't just keep them off by asking nicely, so you might have to resort to bullying them and harassing them--hey, it's for their own good, right? And teenagers are generally emotionally fragile so it shouldn't be that hard.
They're just worried you're going to beat them at Sandbox games by not vegging and sheeping. Maybe try creating an alt so nobody knows it's you, in fact try creating many alts--as many as you can. In fact once you have enough you won't need to worry about whether or not people can tell it's you, because you can just get up another account.
