Here have a shot at a philosophy classic;

If a tree falls but no one is around to hear it, does it still make a sound?

Sorry fam here's Part 2, enjoy your suffering.

Now the thing I found extremely interesting back then is that you don't have to physically do anything to harness these gauges. On top of that, it's not very realistic for us to create our own gauges like Newton, Celsius etc anyway.

What I meant by this is that perhaps another person has to experience certain things in order to either gain insight from an encounter, and thus come up with say, a theory. An example of this could be some kind of Psychology theory, where the field is basically a study
on observed behaviour patterns.

The Very Cool thing is that we don't have to personally conduct these experiments ourselves - we can simply read their study research and by critically analyzing it, we're essentially learning compressed information from something that have taken another individual's time to explore.

And with that, I found the value in reading and started to read a ton as a kid. It was a fascinating idea to learning experiences from others that have personally experienced a wild variety of things.

Casual brag that I had a personal library room where I was actually allowed to design some parts of it, including a sliding shelf that enabled more compact storing.

When I was little, I believed (still kind of do) that years of age cannot be used to gauge if a person is suited to handle certain situations or if they're up to task for certain things.

I came up with this silly little theory back then;
As a hypothesis, if a monster were to pop out of nowhere, I will approximately go into a few different phases.
1. Panic
2. Situation analysis
3. Dealing with the situation
Now I think we can safely say that if the monster keeps appearing, with each encounter my "Panic" and "Situational analysis" phase will shorten, and we'll be able to move on to the 3rd step quicker. So that is what we label with the name "Experience".

But what is experience really? What have we gathered to not be as scared as the first time we've encountered the monster? These are things such as "The monster can be dealt with", perhaps "It is purple", or "It is scared of light".

Now certainly, these are all information we have gathered from various encounters, but they are all essentially evaluations based on a certain gauging standard, which brings us to this conclusion -

The importance in the pursuit for knowledge does not lie within knowing that an apple weighs 70-100 grams, but the "gram" unit (perception label) that we've put on it.

I've heard quite a handful of unique meaningful advice, but the first one that came to mind is the most cliche one. This short video pretty much enforces the old saying that "Life is a journey and not a race".

Personally, what I've been getting out of it is that In the end, we don't have to aim for what the majority considers as a successful life. If I like throwing a life of wealth behind to live with the worries and fear of landing my next meal then so be it.

Be spiritually fulfilled, my fellow EpicMafia comrades
