ppl should vote for more stuff

almost 6 years

I feel like people should have more power, such as voting for site changing stuff such as updates or voting for owners/mods. Or at least just owners, there's something about the passing thing i don't find right.

This is just my blind proposition, and i'm probably ignoring a bunch of important factors right now, but i respect if you have any arguments agaisnt it and it'd be nice to discuss it together between the people on the site.

If you agree, sign the petition!

Idk if it works like that but if it gets enough signs it could be considered or sent to admin/lucid.

It also helps if the person implementing things is also not dumb. You played yourself, America.

People shouldn't be allowed to vote since they're dumb. Only 1 person should have the power to implement things. If you disagree it's because you're dumb.

I included a signing petition, though.

i remember a mod or two being ousted specifically because they were toxic and unpopular and that was great for the community tbh

like i think something cool for us to vote on would be that bride was recently changed from what it had been since its creation to what we have now which is what it was apparently intended to be, but i think a lot of people prefer the original "accidental" design of the role, so maybe a good thing to test this out on would be reverting that role to how it was or keeping it like this

The electoral college idea COULD, though, work.

I thought about it and i also agree voting for moderators and owners is not a bright idea, yet i still stand on voting for updates.

voting for mods has been suggested a billion times and its still a bad idea

voting on site changes makes more sense

i just feel like, in general, if enough people are saying something on the site regardless of where( and its not meme bs), it should be considered seriously instead of treated with indifference or personal preference. theres a lot of really unsettling clique culture in sandbox; one can barely deny it when it was literally all thrown at me the second i came back.

ReadyForBready says

If the users voted for mods, Epicmafia would just be one big popularity contest where the users with the most friends (e.g. you) get the most power. As an unpopular user, this does not directly benefit me therefore I do not agree with it.

Sandbox should be a democracy tho.

We should have an EM electoral college. Lucid appoints several electors (people with red stars huehue) to analyze the people's votes.

here's a proposal:

people should vote for mods but there's only one candidate and it's me and you are only allowed to vote yes

Lucid likes petitions and consensus in my experience. Voting is a good idea.

I also realized if a lot of people disagree on something ( For example, if this would have been something on the slur discussion, the lobby walls would have been filled with opinions on it and people disagreeing and fighting. which already happened, i believe )

So basically, whenever there's a change, there should be a thread in order to discuss it in some subforum, maybe called Updates.

And, maybe taking freedom further, an idea thread in which if the ideas get enough upvotes they should be applied.

I believe there should be a limit to memey stuff
and unserious stuff though, such as " make the background a naked person " for example.
