Maybe I just don't understand the rules or something, if so then oops however this doesn't seem right:
I added a 'C' to the front of 'HAIR' (horizontal) and did not get the full points for the word, but someone added 'S' to the end of 'CHAIR' and received the full points? Really?
I added 'POLI' Vertically descending to an 'O' that was in a horizontal word. The 'P' was on a 'double letter' but I only received 10 points overall for the word, even thought 'P' is worth 5 so on a double letter that alone is 10 points? That can't be right...
I'm pretty sure the dictionary used in Wordsmith (+Jotto and Boggle) is the same as the one that Collins publishes for Scrabble (CSW15). If you want to check whether a word is allowed or not you can use this site https://www.collinsdictionary.com/scrabble/scrabble-word-finder/ (also gives definitions).
You can probs find a cheat sheet online that gives you all the 2-letter words that are valid, I'm not sure what you mean by having a setting to allow them or not; as well as weird words like CH, QI, ZO, XU etc you have words that are pretty uncontroversial and necessary to have a worthwhile endgame like AN IS OR TO; the game wouldn't be much fun if you weren't allowed any of those to make parallel plays with for example.

could you make a game setting choice to allow 2-letter words?
also some words count but idek what they mean. i was able to make KHI for example.
I tested it out locally and everything seems to work fine scoring wise. let's play a couple more games some other time and see if we can replicate this
