since you seem absolutely unwilling to remove the word filter, here's a monetizing solution you could employ: 10 tokens for a language and caps filter option.
Now you have incentive to remove the restrictive code, and those that really care about that shi t will invariably end up paying for it (less sulking on the forums too)

this is a bad idea. a better idea would be adding log in thru facebook or google to encourage fast sign ups for new players/unique visits rather than making it easier for 10 times banned players to throw

when you're back, definitely want to hear more on that idea about making it so that you can create a game without being logged in because while the functionality seems convenient on the surface, it's also probably just more of a resource for people like james who will come back at random to disrupt the site's usability for fun by creating games that block the lobby, etc. (dude will log in, make a 1k person game that makes the entire lobby unclickable, and continue to do so for hours at a time - i think making this easier for him is ultimately not a great idea unless you're planning to set it up a certain way that would impose limitations on what's being created.)
re: mentoring quick fixes, putting my head together with giga and whoever else i can connect with in the program to hopefully get some ideas on the table.

Right now, if a player vegges or suicides out of a red or gold heart game, they are immediately able to join another red or gold heart game. Having a 5 or 10 minute wait time between joining another red or gold heart game is good so that people don't just suicide out of games they are going to lose to join the next one, with no penalty. It used to be that there was a 10 minute wait time, then one day it got removed randomly without mention, probably by accident.
Yes they can be reported, but until the reports are dealt with, they are basically a wild animal that cannot be stopped from suiciding out of games.

The mentoring program is a pain because the mentors can see who is typing at night, also the way the chat is set up to flow from the top is extremely infuriating, but I guess that isn’t a huge issue.
I think that there is no wait time between suiciding or vegging out of a ranked game and being able to join the next game. There should be at least some sort of timer (maybe 5 minutes?) so that this isn't abused.

couple points to respond to so i'll go in order.
game approachability in general has to be reconsidered, not just with roles but with everything. maybe some progress has been made with this since the last break i took, but the mentor program is a prime example of something that could be really beneficial for the playerbase if given care/focus but, as i understand it, the functionalities that were written into the site to help mentors had some kind of flaw that made cheating possible. that's been an issue for more than a year that hasn't (and again, correct me if i'm wrong and this was taken care of in the past month) been taken care of, much like how the guiser role was broken for almost a year before any progress was made with it. fix what's already in existence and flawed/unusable before you start introducing new elements otherwise you risk overwhelming people, is all i'm saying.
no qualms about listing those words either: don't think it'd put too much of a strain on the community's sense of decency to have shit and fuck back - i'll come right out and say that i also think the way slurs are being handled right now is incredibly lazy too, and this is coming from a poc who has been on this website for almost seven years. i get that you feel like that thing about making a video was a sick comeback but i'm actually giving you genuine feedback about the site, though i distinctly remember you calling billstickers a retard because he challenged you on something so i can't say i expect much progress here.
