Don't do it.
I cannot tell you how many times that a game has been solved, and yet two town (who are both voting mafia) split the votes in LYLO.
If it is 7 player LYLO then either A. one person needs to hammer or B. All 4 town need to vote cohesively. Same thing in 5 player LYLO. In 5 player LYLO, all 3 town need to vote cohesively or a vote split can occur so easily.
Consider the following hypothetical.
- A is confirmed town
- B is non confirmed town
- C is non confirmed town
- D is non confirmed town
- E is incriminated scum
- F is non confirmed scum
- G is non confirmed scum
Let's say E is getting wagoned and A, C, D, F, and G are voting him until B decides it's a decent idea to lynch outside for another mafia. B is not wrong. Lynching outside is a decent idea in some cases. But it's a bad idea if everyone is NOT on board with it. If F and G unvote by the time it's kicked and B is voting someone like F. E, F, and G can all force a no lynch and thus win the game.
WATCH THE TIMER LIKE A HAWK ON LYLO. IF THE VOTES ARE A SPLIT MESS IMMEDIATELY RETRACT YOUR VOTE BEFORE TIMER RUNS OUT.
Now let's say all votes are off. However, B ego votes F. B is not wrong, B is voting scum. F crosses with B. There are no kicks. The clear A, however, decides it's in the best interest for the likely mafia and see what comes about. A votes for E and then F immediately retracts their vote, votes for C and kicks. It is now a 1-1-1 cross and there's a 0% chance town can achieve a 4 person majority, it has to be three people. With that, E and G vote for C as well and there's no way for either E, or F to get lynched. A made a mistake. The correct move was to lynch in between B and F, even if E was confirmed mafia.
TL;DR: If you're in LYLO, unvote immediately if timer runs out and if someone casts a vote, you lynch between the person that voted or the person who that person voted or else scum can force NL. Submit to the clear if there is one and they're voting, but if you are clear and your hand gets forced you HAVE to vote between the voter or the voted. All town must vote together unless someone is hammering in LYLO.
