lynching d1 is advantageous because a. you can lynch jan and prevent mafia from using one of their most powerful role's ability and b. doc can save into a ML. mafia has to CC cop d1 and chances are lawyer will not CC, meaning that jan will. if mafia for whatever reason does not CC cop, congrats, you have uncc'd cop and can out orc for two clears in a d1 ML setup. if doc has a save in blues, you have near auto at that point.
it's absolutely bonkers that i had to make this thread but i'm mega tired of having to explain it every time a save happens n1

i make my own strats midway thru the game. that's what makes me great. you're all justa buncha sheep!!!!
you'll only know if the orc is janned not the doc. also like greninja said you always have the possibility of another ml. and guilty testing is still a garbage strategy. alternatively instead of playing jan 2.0 you play a good setup

You only lynch with a doc save if there is a guilty to test. After the cops are out, there's no reason to stop the jan from janning. If orc or doc get janned, you'll know, and scum is usually obligated to sack in cops there anyway.
The most common thought is that if there are even number of alive players, you always NL, otherwise mafia will keep NK'ing till meteor is on town and they will be forced to lynch on even numbers during meteor day, so you only lynch on odd numbers.
But this simple theory should be directed to simple setups: only blues and mafia. In Janitorial 2.0, we have more room for maneuver. Lynching D1 is beneficial as long as doc isn't lynched. Cop reports are clearer with a lynched person who appears naked in gy. After a lynch, during the night mafia will focus on the doc, doc can do the same thing: read for doc and save it. Mafia kills somebody who is not cop because they think the cop will be saved and it'd give an additional mislynch. Also, the cop is supposed to be protected by doc. In the worst case, they hit doc. Town can NL D2 because mafia will have to hit the cop, otherwise they'll be checked, and we come back to odd numbers again, with clearer D2 report.
TL;DR: Lynch D1 for clearer cop reports. If mafia hits doc N2, town can NL so mafia will be forced to kill the cop. It will fix the parity of alive players.
It's not that close to auto if pr's are uncc'd with a save on blue. Mafia simply kills doc, then cop, then save and welcome to 6way. For 4way, you may kill another clear according to cop reports.
But lynching D1 sometimes works, especially when I am doc, but the problem is that nobody else can even save for a mislynch in this setup.
