EM Rule Revisions

I will work on revising a new set of EM rules.

Anyone have anything that they feel should really be fixed in particular?

If anyone wants to actually work on this with me, I would not mind assistance.

It can't hurt to make a new set of rules, in spite of the fact that they might just ignore it :(

Some ideas that I think we need:

  1. GRS/ISP clear lines that being afc and vegging is not either of these (see this wrongly given so much)

  2. Hipfiring: defined time that is okay and more emphasis on mods needing a clear line to suggest that they hipfired/did not have reads after this

  3. Some sort of actual mod abuse vio

  4. More clear Harassment vio wording that protects the players

  5. Cyber bullying: we need to really add a section to prevent things from happening on this site, as happened to that australian girl a few weeks ago. This can be a huge legal liability for this site, as it stands now

Any other huge issues that you know of?

1) Yes, being AFK can constitute ISP.
2) It's about context, there can be no defined time or line.
3) It doesn't make any sense to have a "vio" for that. If you have an issue with mods, you should talk to the admin or to lucid (the site owner).
4) That rule has been through many many many rewrites and it will never be in a perfect state.
5) How is this not just harassment?

tbh we should not have just 1 person doing this. It needs to be a group effort that has the intent to improve the site for the whole community.

Hence why I offered for others to join me. We will need a lot of feedback in the process too

I did not know about this problem. It has nothing to do with the rules though and has to do more with site programming I assume.

Why delete it? You might want it later :)
