I will work on revising a new set of EM rules.

Anyone have anything that they feel should really be fixed in particular?

If anyone wants to actually work on this with me, I would not mind assistance.

It can't hurt to make a new set of rules, in spite of the fact that they might just ignore it :(

Some ideas that I think we need:

  1. GRS/ISP clear lines that being afc and vegging is not either of these (see this wrongly given so much)

  2. Hipfiring: defined time that is okay and more emphasis on mods needing a clear line to suggest that they hipfired/did not have reads after this

  3. Some sort of actual mod abuse vio

  4. More clear Harassment vio wording that protects the players

  5. Cyber bullying: we need to really add a section to prevent things from happening on this site, as happened to that australian girl a few weeks ago. This can be a huge legal liability for this site, as it stands now

Any other huge issues that you know of?

If someone says that they were gone, why they were gone, and participates normally once they're back then it shouldn't be counted as isp. If they come back and don't do or say sh*t then its isp and afk.

Rereading shouldn't take more than a minute even if the person just came back after a long day. People use "reading" as an excuse a lot, but unless they have a reading problem like dyslexia or is a literal turtle they should still be able to participate.

i was not even talking about my isp vio. i was talking about a vio that lilgreen got when he was kicked lynched in fancy pants

I would love to debate the game you are talking to in my thread on that game in the complaints section though

There is a noticable difference between AFK and ISP. In one, the person doesn't talk. In the other, the person does talk/vote, but not in a constructive manner.

If someone is AFK they won't talk or vote at all, and when they come back they'll give a reason for why they were gone, and once they're back they'll participate just as much as everyone else. Easy.

ISP is when a non-noob person says things like "there isn't anything to say lol" and doesn't even try to participate aside from a few "I'm blues" and "no don't lynch me :O". For the most part, they only sheep votes and share absolutely no reads. They're just there to whine and vote.

It ruins the game when someone willingly doesn't talk. It's a text based game for christ's sakes and yet we see it all the time. I don't even report for ISP because it rarely even gets viod (for good reason, but still).


I totally agree with you, but too many people now get vios when they were just gone for the start of the game, in spite of them trying to do stuff when they get back. I have seen people get vios for vegging day2 in fancy pants. Day1 you just nl and dont give cop reads. Day2 he was just gone and vegging. he was kick lynched and got an isp vio when he was not ever there for the whole day! his internet had like cut out. he appealed it and it was sustained

what do you mean by this? People that are getting lynched should not be allowed to leave the game to avoid a loss....

You might want to fix this new line now:

"Low contrast colours that are difficult to read also falls under trolling at the discretion of a moderator."

it should be fall and not falls. the noun there is colors and plural.

1) Yes, being AFK can constitute ISP.
2) It's about context, there can be no defined time or line.
3) It doesn't make any sense to have a "vio" for that. If you have an issue with mods, you should talk to the admin or to lucid (the site owner).
4) That rule has been through many many many rewrites and it will never be in a perfect state.
5) How is this not just harassment?


1. People have lives and do not need to wait 30min at the computer for a comp game to fill (happens in my time zone). being afc at game start and vegging should not be isp/grs. Both of these verdicts require intent from my view.
2. hipfire is not consistent at all it needs to be more defined
3. lucid and admins are basically non-existent. Personally I think that we should probably have an an independent counsel of players that can oversee the mods/admins (maybe like 5 players like mandevian, brownpimp, etc that tend to do their own thing and can be unbiased when its not involving their reports)
4. why not work on it?
5. This I need to really work on with harassment. There needs to be more harsh punishments for anything that can even be taken this way. As an example, telling someone to kill themselves should not be tolerated at any level. Ganging up on a person in a way to just make them feel bad is probably a better example of something that should be cyber bullying but not harassment yet. I mean even these people that downvote everything that you ever say are participating in cyber bullying in a way
