Not resetting the round was such an objectively stupid idea that I'm not going to argue about it, I'm just going to laugh about how "The Competition" was a lottery
So what if it is anyways

if mods reset a round every time throwing or cheating affected who got a trophy rounds would never end
You're such an idiot lol.
This was a cheating ring with a discord called cheetos ring.

I'm not in charge or even part of the cheating investigations team.
I did read the investigations and vote and voted for cheating vios to be handed out across the board based on the evidence.
After that, there was a short time where people glanced over the games of those who would trophy in their stead and they deemed them acceptable.
So because 3 people played games that didn't look compromised the rest of us get f*cked over?
The round wasn't reset because their influence on the round overall wasn't viewed as enough to warrant it.
4 People you claim cheated by sharing each others roles and helping each other climb up the ladder didn't influence the round for others??!
If you think that it was the incorrect decision to make that's okay - that's your prerogative. I'm just relaying what I know since you inquired about the round not being reset.
If you want more details then here:
there was 100% proof that cheating happened but only in a small selection of games (though it's possible that more than those were cheated in) and taking that into account with the number of games played together across the round it seems pretty obvious that only a minor number of games were actually fraudulent.
Yes, they played 150 games this round or whatever, but no, they did not cheat in all of them.
That paired with the fact that after a quick glossing over the numbers, most other runners didn't have their runs necessarily impacted by theirs so the round was left to finish.
Lastly it only takes a few games to get an edge over an competition. Since most setups are usually a 60-59 payout 5 wins can get you far,

There's probably way more cheating than gets caught, like the dark figure of crime IRL, so I don't see why 'x' number of people being caught is different than 'x' number of games never being suspected
we did a bad thing last time so we're contractually obligated to do a bad thing this time

Should probably reset it.
One time, there was a slim possibility abc had been playing on an account and they reset it final day on me with like a 400 point lead.
You have like 5 cheaters affecting a round and it's not reset. Injustice.

i mean resetting a round as it's about to end regardless of whether games were cheated or not is just a class A bad idea so i don't know why people are mad at harod today

so people actually think a round reset should've happened and i thought it was just a big joke that people were spreading
Honestly, I think journeymae is clean. I've played many games with her in guns and hookers too. Always trying her best, scumhunting, basically not cheating material.

The official stance of the mod team is currently that the cheaters probably only cheated in a few games, because the cheaters are honest.
The degree of incompetence is absolutely incredible.
Honestly I don't know why no one ever thought about this solution

I don't think there's really much more information I can give you regarding this so getting angry or upset over what I can't change even if I wanted to would be a bit silly, don't you think?
i know if i was gonna cheat for a trophy, i'd only cheat a few games

Because you didn't reset the round to avoid backlash, you're going to have way more backlash.
Nice. Smart move.

You don't think they cheated the entire time? Are you f*cking naive?
You're right that we can't affect the decision, but we can laugh at the mod team for being such an abject embarrassment, for sure.
