In the interest of transparency, I temporarily paused the round for a few reasons:
1) there are still a good number of reports, appeals, and requests for refunds open that involve this round
2) I wasn't aware of if there were any open investigations this round or not
3) none of the other mods (outside of charley, who only recently came online) were around to handle the reports or verify if there were investigations, meaning if there were nobody could pause the round
the pause was just temporary and should be getting unpaused before midnight so the round should finish today
I only paused it out of precaution since nobody was around, thanks
To clarify, when I say "playing well," I mean either finding the mafia successfully and consistently or, as mafia, staying alive until the end of the game. I also believe playing similarly as town and mafia is an excellent indicator of skill level. The best players, I think, are ones that seem ambiguous every time.
Give daddy something pleasurable to play for next round @Luke/Putler/Bogmire/Transcend/anybody off of the leaderboard with over 1400 points and 10 hearts
Without question, anyone who thinks anything else is kidding themselves
This is an interesting debate but at the end of the day, mafia is a team game. You're only as good as your weakest link unless your clears are good enough to carry the burden
I actually think winning and playing the game well are completely separate entities. I would even go so far to claim that winning a game of Mafia involves way more luck than skill. One player can be absolutely stellar and still not win a lot because the people around him or her influence the win.
I think you can only say someone is more skilled than lucky if they win multiple trophies/win a lot, such as brownpimp007 or Crypto.
In the first 9 days of this round i went 28/40 (11 losses & 1 veg) for a 70% winrate, in the past 2 days i have gone 5/15 for a 33% winrate. look no further than this round and my statistics as an example of this
