Nah, I lost because I was the most arguing with it.

I come back after a long time and see the same people cheating with the same people and the mods have set such bad precedence that no one is afraid of breaking any rule anymore.
yeah, that is true, but nobody cares anymore because people are tired of seeing so many sore losers report spam people

Take the shot.

https://epicmafia.com/game/6282393 this game is freaking hilarious. After n2, I think I am in GY and I start cursing the alive players for not sheeping me. And when two of them vote, I point out how meowie is clear and still praise isn't unvoting. Suddenly one of them responds to me and I am like "how the fuk is he able to read me". Then I realize I am alive.

in the last round i noticed lots of throwing and fighting for who would get the gun from gunsmith in that GS + bomb / bleeder setup. quite frankly, no one had fun playing that because they either didnt get an item, weren't PR, or were mafia who most likely wouldnt get an item. GS was overwhelmed almost every game
while the setup was created around the trikster role and my namesake, it's also an answer to those people from last round who joined comp games then end up being de-engaged because they rolled blue or mafia. "f*ck i rolled blue / mafia. just gonna ISP and not give a damn"
tl;dr - specifically considering the point of misuse of items: it is on the player to be engaged. players joining a comp game go afk just to get blown up by a bomb when they get back / player gets the bomb and panic passes is not the play
-
the specific situation you quoted of bomb relates to my critique of foggy not being engaged in competitive games
i've seen those situations too where players go afk, refuse to pass the bomb optimally etc. and i believe it is due to a lack of engagement from the players, which is out of control for anyone who joins a competitive game
expanding on my point #2 with variance, there is no correct way to play when a bomb is in play. the playertable has to be "skilled" enough to adapt to any possible situation:
1. town is n1, all prs alive 2. town is n1, all prs alive, oracle has vest and on alive 3. santa is n1, bulletproof has vest / oracle is on alive 4. bulletproof is n1, santa is alive for re-vest / oracle is on alive
so on and so on
the reason i put up general strats up is so town is able to think for themselves and adapt. is winning in an *expected* scenario over and over considered "skilled" ? or is winning in an *unexpected* scenario over and over considered "skilled" ?
you already know i prefer the latter. if i wanted to play a scripted game where i know exactly what will happen, i would play against AI, not humans

well, i didn't do it on porpoise! now you're just being needlessly rude to me!
so just because i made a mistake, i can't have an opinion? :/
no lol you can have an opinion. but i'm saying your worded opinion is clearly different from your approach to the game. if you are really frowning upon GTing and mistakes, you should make an effort to eliminate that from your play
hipfiring a fabbed gun as santa 2 days after trikster was nightkilled shows a severe lack of engagement ;/

yes, thats what im asking for, actual reasons as to why you think it's not fit; and it's helpful that you are the top player on it
subtracting the exploit from the discussion; i can say that
1. it's neither mafia nor town sided 2. there's enough variance that there is no surefire way to win each game as either alignment 3. there's the correct balance of town to mafia to wild card
i’m still tied up with something but i’ll try and tackle this in the interim. overlooking the glitches and the fact that this isn’t an honorable community and people WILL exploit whatever helps them win, i think there are too many variables that make it way more luck based rather than something requiring actual skill and strategy; i’m happy to be disproven on that if you have strategies that you feel weren’t implemented properly but i’ve seen instances where random variables like bomb from trickster have ultimately made the game a toss up based on who is lucky/unlucky enough to be holding the bomb when it goes off.
it’s an idealistic perspective in this day and age on em but winning competitive setups should be primarily dependent on skill and those types of unexpected variables shouldn’t be able to come in and completely ruin a game. despite this, you’re right that it is balanced and i admire that you attempted to bring some fresh/new roles into comp. just not the best application of them, imo. it’s not a lost cause and could easily be reworked.
