We have been getting a lot of questions about the BenKenobi ban and we just wanted to make a thread to clarify the circumstances of the ban.
He has received 8 violations in Main Lobby ranging from HC to Spamming to Trolling to Copied Mechanics to Lobby Camping and is currently banned there. Furthermore, we have gotten many reports from people complaining about the aggressive and overly offensive language that BenKenobi has been using in chatrooms and in games in the Survivor Lobby. Our first and foremost goal as moderators of the Survivor Lobby is to make the Lobby a fun and safe place for people to play in and BenKenobi was actively toxic and against all of these values. As a result, because of his actions in Main Lobby and Survivor Lobby, the Main Lobby moderators decided to siteban BenKenobi, an action which we support as well. Ben will no longer be able to play in the Survivor Lobby or Main Lobby, but he is free to play in Sandbox.
Finally, I'd like to thank the main lobby moderators for working closely with us for the past few months. They've been extremely helpful and we really appreciate their help.

i agree with you that people are afraid to report for harassment sometimes, and i wish they weren't because i believe this moderator team is very unbiased and will look at each case thoroughly and come to a reasonable decision!
i've been active in every stickied lobby on this website, and have been here for a long time, as i know you have as well, and honestly the current survivor lobby mod team is probably the best and most cohesive and fair i've ever seen on the site, and i'm one to be really harsh on moderator teams so that's saying a lot. if they believe this is the best decision i trust their judgement
Idk why this thread has to continue. BenKenobi is banned, so what? Let's move on as a lobby. He needs to work on his personal issues. I can tell he has a lot of personal anger that he needs to work on. Can we please act like adults and not insult each other or rag on each other, especially over Ben frickin Kenobi lol.

I would love to discuss this with you Ally because I feel I have been nothing but nice to you (sans my post above), and I have asked you multiple times why you were being rude to me with no answer besides "i just dont like u."
I am sorry for comparing you to BenK, and I do not think you contribute negatively to the lobby. As for Zero, I try not to partake in whatever you and him have for the most part (besides the one time I called you out, because I don't think players should be bullying other players so consistently in lobby chats, even if they have a good reason).
Not related to you but I think an issue in this lobby is that a lot of players are too afraid to report people for harassment because of who those players might be friends with, so I don't think that is a good indicator of anything. I have had a lot of players talk to me about feeling uncomfortable because of other players and it saddens me, but realistically there is only so much that can be done on the internet. This is a wider issue not central to the Survivor Lobby but all lobbies.

withered, i can understand why you would think that, seeing as i have spoken negatively about you and your boy zero in the past. i do have reasons for disliking both of you, and i am more than willing to discuss our issues and come to a conclusion if you feel i am being inappropriately rude or offensive in any way. i am not perfect and i can be temperamental at times, but i am aware of my shortcomings and willing to improve. i do not appreciate being compared to someone that is constantly negative, contributes nothing good to the community, has received 8 violations for things such as harassment and hateful comments, and is literally site banned when i do not have a single violation for any of those things, nor have i been reported for any of those things in years.
(As a side-note: I have seen Ben apologize a few times. But if the Mods felt it best to ban him then I respect their decision, as long as it was a fair one).
fr though benkenobi has upset/been incredibly f*cking rude to a lot of people and has never been willing to apologize for his actions or admit that he's wrong, he was very clearly had a negative impact on the lobby and that much is very very clear
i'm a newer member of the lobby that only joined this year and i've managed to form relationships with every moderator w/ the exception of cole
they're all active within the lobby, i've played with every one of the other 4, nat just hosted a game with lelmoo like a week ago that i played in, nat has been a host for every org since emvv1, cammy is in the forums, lobby chats, and games frequently, and was also a host for embbas, chris is incredibly active we all know that, rob is also in lobby chats semi frequently and in forums frequently he's just busy with school which is pretty reasonable i think
and correct me if i'm wrong, but site bans do extend to survivor lobby, so i don't see why this is even a debate? sandbox commonly is an exception to this because banned users are welcome in sandbox but like.... survivor isn't generally
