Any fruit that you have left in your inventory when the challenge ends tomorrow will go moldy, and become valueless. Be sure to sell, sell sell!
And FINALLY, there is one twist we have added to this challenge, which you can choose to ignore or whatever:
There will be a Supply/Demand aspect to this challenge. After a round of buying is complete, the hosts will tally up the amount of each fruit purchased. Whichever fruit is being held the MOST going into the round will see a -10% penalty in next round’s SELLING PRICE, rounded to the nearest 50 Bells. Conversely, whichever fruit is currently head the LEAST going into a round will see a +10% bonus in next round’s SELLING PRICE, rounded to the nearest 50 Bells.
As always, when it comes to challenges dealing with the Diary Room; you may NOT discuss your inventory, actions, current bells; NOTHING. This is a strictly individual challenge.

Some rules:
You can NOT edit or delete any posts for this challenge in your diary room. If you do, you will receive a strike and be eliminated from the rest of the competition. No second chances about this rule.
We also ask that you keep your actions to a single post in your diary rooms. Once you send that post, your action is done. You can not then be like ‘actually i’ll buy another cherry’ sixteen minutes later. ALL ACTIONS. ONE SUBMISSION. PER ROUND.
During the moments between each round that the hosts confirm in your Diary Rooms your inventory and remaining bells, if we decide your action was illegal (you are selling more fruits than you had in the round, or ending a round with negative bells) your action for that round will NOT COUNT. You will instead enter the next round with the inventory and remaining bells you had from the round BEFORE. Please take the forty five of each round you have to do your selling and buying correctly!
If you do not do any buying/selling during a round, that is perfectly fine. You will just enter the next round with the same bells/currency that you had before. It is not mandatory to have an action every round! However, you must have at least ONE round of activity to avoid getting a strike for the competition. You must still ABSTAIN if you can not participate in the challenge at all.

Nat is buying sandwiches for $800, and buying ice cream bars for $400. Nat is selling sandwiches for $100, and selling ice cream bars for $800.
Because I must SELL my items first, I decide to sell four of my sandwiches for $3200, which is the buying price.
I now have $4800, four sandwiches, and an ice cream bar.
Then, because I can only BUY AFTER I SELL, I decide to BUY forty sandwiches.

[7:07:38 PM] Joan: To begin this challenge, each Houseguest will begin this game with 1000 Bells to spend.
Starting at 8:15 EST, and every hour until 7:15 EST tomorrow, Joan the Brown Boar will come to visit the chatroom! She has recently begun to expand her business from simply selling turnips, and now buys and sells fruits, as well!! She will buy and sell the six fruits that you will need for victory:
Apples Cherries Coconuts Oranges Peaches & Pears
For the first round at 8:15 EST, Joan will visit and offer these six fruits at different prices. In your diary room, you will have until 9:00PM EST to decide which fruits you wish to purchase. You can have no Bells, but you can NOT have negative Bells. Any submissions made after 8:59:59PM EST, according to the Skype clock, will NOT count.
Then, from 9:00-9:14PM EST, the hosts will confirm with you in your diary room your inventory of fruits, and the amount of Bells you have going into the next hour. We may do this earlier for you, if you submit earlier in the round, for our sakes.
Then, starting at 9:15PM EST and every hour onwards, Joan will visit once again to do business. Due to the fluctuating market, the fruits may have changed purchase price! However, also starting from 9:15PM EDT for the duration of the challenge, Joan will now begin BUYING fruit as well! These prices will also be changing throughout the duration of the challenge. As before, you will have forty five minutes to submit your selling and buying for the round.
If you sell any fruits, the amount of bells you earned can then be used to buy fruits for that same round.
