It seems this game has gained a lot of popularity in this lobby, and I want to see what it's like as the host.
All 3 of the games played thus far have ended in evil being victorious. So as per the idea of HighSpace, I will incorporate an extra servant to the game making it 7 good, 4 evil.
This will decrease the chances of placing evil members on missions and increase the Merlin pool for Assassin to shoot in.
6 players are needed to accept or reject any mission
Also, if everyone didn't practically confess, I was going to bs mai way out of Stash's claim, no matter if it did or didn't work.
I was going to state 2 theories (I had a third one which I forgot x.x):
1. Stash outed a random team to see how Merlin reacted. Merlin would be the only one to know how true that list would so seeing reactions from the outed list would help Assassin.
2. Stash made a scum team knowing that Mordred is actually a confirmed tr to everyone. By doing this, when Stash outed a scum team, I, who was part of M4 would be replaced by that 'obvious' Tr.
Stash kept in mind that Merlin knew everyone except Mordred which is why their list had to be realistic. So they outed everyone except Mordred.
Stash would have no reason to gt because if I were scum, there'd be a high chance I'd be carried to M5. Their actions would cause me to be replaced. How would stash benefit from that? The replacement must be an obvious tr (aka. the Mordred).
But eh, who knows if those theories would've wavered anyone?
Either way, if everyone continued playing dumb I would've said that stuff. Alas, life doesn't go as one likes x.x
I remember saying that I messed up somewhere in the analogy I wrote so I'm confused about what I messed up but the gist of it is:
Pod was the Merlin claiming to be Perc to see if the real Perc reacted and to know if the Morgana would cc them.
Pod as Merlin would know if a scum cc'ed them (except Mordred but there's a higher chance that Morgana would cc a perc claim) and knowing that, they could gain reads by trying to see who the scum cc reads as clear/evil and who believes the scum cc.
Also, because the Merlin knows 3/4 scum, to not seem like scum, Pod could have purposefully took scum with them in 3rd mission because Merlin wouldn't make a mistake like that.
Besides which, if the extra fail by Merlin was an accident and they didn't mean to take Mordred with them, they would know who Mordred is.
Merlin would by default know 1/2 of the fails and knows that they themself are clear. Merlin could exclude the other 2 players from M3, and their known 3 scums (5 players in total) to make the perfect team for next mission.
That would make up for the earlier failed missions, giving town 3 total passes including M4 and M5.
And because the Merlin, known as perc to the rest 'goofed' by giving Mafia 2 fails, scum would most likely believe the Merlin to be the Perc. Which would lead Assassin to mis-hit Merlin.
All of this relied on the theory that Pod was Merlin of course. I over-complicated it to seem like I was trying to protect Merlin lol.
As much as I wanted to push on the theory that Pod was Merlin, I couldn't do it without seeming scummy or 'exposing' the Merlin which lead to mai over-complicated story xD
I hope I made sense but ye, that's pretty much mai theory :D
Ripple was in such a tough spot, but she remained calm. I thought she'd be in trouble by not including pod on the mission and then rejecting stashio quite a bit when people seemed to trust her a lot.
Anyways by about this time HighSpace makes his bold Percival claim, and pretty much everyone loses trust in powerofdeath and bryce1997, and then HighSpace and tillie piggybacked off of Ripple's read on stashio833.
I don't think stashio scumclaiming and outing her team affected much of the game state except for Spadez0. No one in the game knew he was scum, and I felt like his play was very strong. He made it seem like he was genuinely sorting the game when he wasn't. I feel so bad, I think he was doing fairly well. Granted, there were a ton of obvtowns over him, he really did have a shot at making it on to Mission 5 and failing it.
Anyways, again apologies to the scum team. You had that in the bag nearly and a combination of lack of communication when multiple scum were on the mission and a gamethrowing partner led to your loss. Town recovered well when this was bound to be a scum victory had they played their cards right.
qrstuv and Jeff I felt were obvtown. Ripple and tillie were fairly towny. colester was kinda inactive but mostly towny. I have no idea what the f*ck was going through arisuu's head in either game I played/hosted with her. HighSpace did a good job at remaining calm. Scum did really good too just played their cards poorly. Again pod nearly dominated this entire game but a few bad moves prevented that.
Alright so powerofdeath definitely had a good grasp of this game early on. I think his strategy was fantastic, and he had the trust of everyone except Ripple at one point.
It was interesting seeing the actions of both Ripple and HighSpace upon his claim. Ripple knew powerofdeath was scum, but everyone else thought he was town so she had to blend in with that even though she knew it was wrong. I think High's perspective was a lot more interesting. He had no idea if powerofdeath was the Merlin that was roleswapping him to hide, or the Morgana that was attempting to cc the Percival much like I did last game. He was in such a difficult spot, and I'm not sure how I would've handled that either.
I really think one of stashio/pod should've failed mission 1. I think stash possibly tried to code to pod, but he didn't pick it up.
Anyways I think powerofdeath was the player this game up until mission 3 when there were two fails. I think pod should've hinted to bryce in terms of who should fail and who shouldn't fail. I think him putting one of his buddies on the team he formed on M3 was a good idea. I mean, people blindly trusted him. Ripple, the Merlin did not accept that mission. tillie, the person you thought was Merlin, did.
in case no one noticed, i stopped trying when ari claimed percival cuz i knew that actually made both her and HS town and i was confused and stopped replying in thread lol
