Hey everyone, I thought it'd be nice if we all got together and played some forum games together, and one I know hasn't been played here yet is Spyfall. This game takes 3-8 players, although I'll try to aim for starting once we have around 8. This is taken from Sandbox lobby by user BeBop.

If a game starts and a player is AFK or taking too long to respond, I'll try to replace them or put the game on hold to find a new player.

How to play:

At the start of each round, players receive a secret card informing them of the group's location and a role they have within that location (for example, if the location was a submarine, you could get a card saying "Submarine - Commander") except for one player, who receives the SPY card instead of the location. The Spy doesn’t know where they are, but wins the round if they can figure it out before they blow their cover. Players then start asking each other questions. Non-Spy players want to ask questions and give answers that prove to the other players that they know where they are. But watch out, if your questions and answers are too specific, the Spy will easily guess the location and win, so you need to practice a bit of subtlety. But if your questions and answers are too generic, you might be accused of being the Spy. The Spy will also sometimes be asked questions (just like any other player would) and have to come up with questions of their own, without knowing anything about where they are! A random player will be picked to ask the first question. Questions have to be directed at a specific, single player. Once a player has answered a question, it's then their turn to ask the next question. Once per game, at any time, players may initiate a vote to accuse one player of being the Spy. If the majority of players agree, the game ends and that player’s secret card is flipped up. If the Spy is captured, each of the Non-Spy players win the round. If a Non-Spy is revealed, the Spy wins. Finally, if the Spy figures out where they are, they can reveal their card and make a guess. If they're right, they win the round. If not, the Non-Spy players win.

I'll be hosting this using this thread as the site for the game, so all discussion, question-asking and answering will take place here. If there's not currently a game going on, sign up for the next one by posting here!

marry, do you have to be bilingual for your job?

i don't have to, no, though like many places it would help, sure. i don't usually talk to many people in my position, though other parts definiiiitely have to.

[sorry i was away!]

lelena, how much do you get paid (min wage, above min wage, a lot, etc)?

I just don’t think your answers show that you aren’t the spy, the answer you gave was ‘i’d hope it’s very safe here’ this could be you just trying to be vague and not let the spy know, but other people are giving more detail and more hints in their answers that they aren’t the spy, which led me to suspect you more. Having said that, you have only had one chance to answer and ask a question, i more so said i was susp of you, bryce and marry so we could ask you three more questions as i don’t think rn we need to be asking people who have shown at least imo that they’re not the spy.

When i made the first post about my reads i saw bryce as susp for what i just said about you, ultra. But now i don’t really see bryce as susp. Because of him questioning lelenas answer. I would say the same for you but at this point 2 people had expressed suspicion so you could have been tagging along on that.

With marry, i was just saying i think we should be asking more questions that way because they were like the first person to be asked a question so it’s difficult to get any type of read, that was moreso what i was trying to say, not just calling them susp.

alex i appreciate the reads but if you give reads it's smart to back them so people might actually care about your reads

like for example you probably think i'm sus because i was vague

or you probably think bryce is sus because of the downvote, or because

bryce1997 says

Um definitely yaaa

and you think marry is sus because...? see we don't really know

i don't like lelena's responses either; they don't feel like they fit.

ok but that's not something i personally know the exact figure of i'm presuming they just took a guess and at least they didn't say 1 or something that definitely wouldn't have been right....................................

i think you and ultra are more susp than lelana so that's why i put lelena on the non spy side and marry i dont necessarily think is susp but we haven't really tested their knowledge either.

i really don't think it is.............

at this point i would say me,alice, loris, tillie and lelena are not the spy.

bryce, ultra and marry have all only been asked one question so it is harder to gauge but i think one of them is the spy.

lelenes, if you didn't work here, how often do you believe you'd show up

Outside of my occupation, probably never. I think I'd make sure to go everywhere else for the things I'd need, and just hope for the best. A little inconvenient perhaps, but sometimes you've just got to do what you've got to do (cool)

Tillie, what colour are the walls painted in the room with your desk/where you are working?

bryce care to explain why you negged me you're allowed to express reads, my answer makes perfect sense...

This location, to me at least, isn't too special but I like my job as I don't find it all that difficult, I definitely have one of the easier jobs at the workplace.

ioris, do you enjoy your job?
