Hey, I'm hosting TAR for 15 people on Thursday, August the 10th at 7pm EST. To the winner will go 20 tokens (that were originally won in the olympics, so shoutout to matt, john and nat!). Reserve below!

And since the thread seems short I'll give you some of my favourite youtube channels (mostly about science)

AsapSCIENCE: Short videos, usually around 4/5 minutes, in which they talk about science and mostly about everyday stuff with scientific explanations.Presented as time lapse drawings.

minutephysics: As the name suggests, short videos about physics, math problems and paradoxes, with some astrophysics as well.Presented as time lapse drawings.

Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell: A channel completely about space science and sci-fi (machines, future possibilities etc.). Presented in a slightly humorous way, which makes everything even more enjoable, and with very nice cartoonish style.Videos are usually from 5 to 10 minutes long.

CGP Grey : Not really scientific, but it approaches problems and matters from all areas, and i haven't found a video that wasn't interesting yet. Similar humor as the last one, simpler graphics but still effective. Length varies, some videos are 2 minutes long and others 15, depends on the typology.

Vsauce: Probably the most famous on the list, longer videos, from 20 to 40 minutes long, no drawings but live shot of the host explaining with props and images from the internet. Talks about a lot of different things, and inside a video he will end up talking about different stuff that connects to the main subject.

I also enjoy Vsauce. However, I often feel like I'm getting a bunch of random information and cool facts that I'm gonna forget in a week. I do enjoy when he stays more on track and teaches me some good .

I agree, I certainly remember more from what I saw from kurzgesagts and CGP grey than any other channels, and vsauce, having a lot of random facts in his videos, it's probably the easier to forget. It's still cool and most of the time you will still learn something, even if it's only 1% of all he said. Plus he always links cool sites!

Wait, how do you host for 15 people if it's TAR...

If you mean cause it's supposed to be in pairs, it's not, it's free for all. If you mean anything else, please explain cause i'm confused xD

Most of the things they talk about would also require a deep understanding of physics and math and a lot of basic infos about astrophysics that not many people have, so they present it in the most simple way possible, hence ''in a nutshell''. I like the format, it's still educational without filling you with mostly useless stuff.

I like kurzgesagts videos a lot except I feel like it's often not in depth enough. However, I realize the animation takes time so I forgive them
