i'm gonna spend the next week eating meat every meal. it will be because of this post. you have the blood of 21 animal meals on your hands. i usually avoid eating meat. their consumption will be entirely your fault
what the health is probably the worst vegan propaganda documentary sadly

i've been vegan for 2 and a half years and it's one of the best things i've done. What helped motivate me was having a vegan friend who helped support me through transitioning from vego to vegan. Also watching documentaries like earthlings and forks over knives because i was interested in the ethical and environmental aspects of veganism. there's so many guides out there to help you transition but it's honestly just a process of changing your daily habits so don't put pressure on yourself to do it overnight
I was vegetarian off and on for about a year before I started being vegan (6 years ago). I would say you should think about what will be sustainable in terms of being happy about what you eat and getting enough protein/nutrients.
For some people, just starting right away would work well. For others, taking away one or two things at a time works better, so they can find new dishes that taste good and learn to cook/buy new sources of protein. It's difficult to find good meals (not just salads) in some restaurants, so shopping for yourself or eating at a dining hall is nice. If you cook for yourself you'll learn how to find alternatives or use substitutes for dishes you like that contain eggs or dairy, so don't let how common dairy/eggs are in baking and such be intimidating. Asian restaurants tends to have good options, at least in the U.S.
One helpful thing is to try to stick to whatever goal you set yourself, but if you slip up somehow, don't let it feel like a catastrophe. Just figure out how to be more consistent.
Also try to learn how to cook things with a variety of vegan proteins if you don't know how already (tofu/beans/lentils/fake meats/nuts). Eating the same one all the time will get boring.
Unlike meats, plant-based protein sources generally dont have a complete mix of the amino acids that people need, so combining different sources will let your body use the protein more effectively. Also consider a B-vitamin complex or B12 supplement, as it's difficult to get enough without meat.
Oh I'm vegan, but I don't really have any experience I've been itching to share - what are you curious about? What motivated you to try it?
oh and what i'm curious about is- how hard is the transition from eating meat to just going cold turkey-- i'm not sure if i should pace myself or start asap- so far i haven't had any cravings for meat so i'm thinking if i should stick to avoiding meat, dairy, egg etc straight away or work on one at a time
saw this documentary called "What the Health" which showed how meat nowadays is pumped with so much sh*t and it made me sick to my core-
it's actually a really good documentary and i suggest you take a look at it if you haven't already.. but before I tried vegan I used to take the p*ss thinking it was something like eating leaves of trees and sh*t but it's actually not too bad
