we have 7+2 forums, I prefer keeping it to a maximum of 6+2 to avoid dissipating discussion. I've been around sandbox for about five years and when there have been more forums there has been less discussion. i want to get rid of the personal forum because it was a containment forum made for spam topics before the spam forum was made, but first I want you to tell me what you think
I do not want to debate you. post concisely why you think the personal forum should stay or go, im not reading your dissertation about it
if the personal forum goes, the threads will be moved to their appropriate forums (threads with discussion value will go to gd, spam/opinion threads and blogs will go to spam, if any thread fits into another category it'll go there)
if the personal forum stays, I'm going to make a similar topic about the entertainment forum
most of my preference for keeping a personal forum over an entertainment forum is that i feel it's easier to browse through general/entertainment combined together rather than having to get through spam/misc topics while also dealing with personal blog/threads. to me entertainment also seems broad enough to fit into a general topic.

When bebop was owner all they would do is complain about how "Bebop did nothing for sandbox" and how bad of an owner he was, same for when merlot was owner. If you can filter out the trash users you should be fine as owner. Many members of the community respect you and im sure much of the community feels you are a good fit for owner. Don't let a group of sour patch kids get to your head
the problem with the personal threads though is them clogging up the recent topics. Why do they need to make epicmafia their blog. It is selfish and narcissistic

I'm against deleting the personal subforum, because all it will do is make whatever other subforum full of them, and even in the spam subforum, there are still some interesting threads that would be hidden by personal threads
there really isn't a problem with having an extra subforum to avoid that
@Alyssa It serves a purpose to someone but does that mean we should have subforums for every single thing because it serves a specific purpose? I believe personals should be in spam due to the content found in the personal threads.

Do what you feel would be the best choice for the community as in the end you will have the final decision. If you are set on removing personal forum s and moving it to either GD or spam than go for it.
no, it serves a purpose to someone. Spam is specifically dedicated to anything that would not fall under the realm of discussion.
If it's about sandbox, go to community if it's about the site, go to epicmafia if it's about various things in peoples lives, go to personal if it's about playing a forum game, go to forum games if it's about discussing any subject, go to general discussion spam is anything that doesn't fall under these, like daily chat's casual conversation or random oddness that has no place in the other areas of discussion
I disagree with deleting it. i know it hasn't been around as long as other forums, but there was a reason that it's here. I like having it more than shuffling through a bunch of racist or otherwise obscene posts while looking for someones personal updates thread.
I believe spam was around before personal. they(personal topics) were spread across forum games, spam, and community until it was made, with the intention of it being about users personal lives
It should stay because it's separate from spam and gives each user their own space to share ideas/thoughts about media/other users. A blog isn't spam it's an open forum for discussion with a users personal life or opinions. It has generated more posts than General Discussion despite being made around the same time(GD was deleted mind you), there's no harm in keeping it and Entertainment should be the one that goes, not Personal.
it should be in spam but the kids defending it think their posts are quality discusions when it is just trash that noboy cares about they should get off their high horses and fight for something like the wage gap or segregation

the personal subforum is the source of a lot of passive aggressive posting where users competitively signal boost their diary entries but it doesn't affect me in the slightest
