So I was wondering why arent masked games the norm for competitive play here? That would solve the whole meta clearing bs that goes on as well as people staring at one's stats just to see if they agree with their decision or not. It is quite annoying being in a middle of a game, im mafia, almost got the win then suddenly somebody starts getting meta cleared and town wins. Or one person that's obviously mafia will still win just simply because their stats are good and people sheep them. Logic says they're obvious mafia but their stats says win. And they gonna keep their stats good because of how a lot of people stare at them too much. I myself dont base judgement off stats but it seems it's different for a lot others.
The image is baddly made and has some weird images of GDQ because someone probbably failed to do it right.
But it gets to the point. EpicMafia is full with idiots who just are here to smoke and have fun while core members like me leave , while i stay and try to change things for the better and chase away said idiots.
It's a shame that this game has been so bastardized by point farms that people keep making these threads.
YOU ARE A HUMAN BEING. SO ARE THE PEOPLE YOU PLAY THIS GAME WITH. YOUR EMOTIONS AND PERSONALITY DO NOT ONLY EXIST IN A VACUUM OF THE GAME YOU'RE CURRENTLY IN.
Masks will not change this. Masks would only make bad players worse and annoy good players. How about instead of trying to treat this like it's not a social game, you get to know the people you play with so you yourself can improve?
This is the same as the really great idea of test mods. A moderator that is tested if he can be a mod, should have been added a long time ago, but once it was added, the other mods tried their best to ruin it because they were idiots.
Well, I know if i was admin, this would be added. Not because there won't be any backslash but because i don't care and i do what i must for the site, and not what those idiots want.
I will keep bumping this till it is added. There are enough reasonable people here that want it added, and only thing that its stopping it, it's the mods who prefer their friends rather than the community.
not going to not happen. not because it's a bad idea, it's a great idea, but there's no way people who abuse meta and cheaters are going to give up so easily. there are enough people opposing it to ensure that it will never ever happen even though it absolutely should. if it ever somehow does happen, there will be enough backlash to remove it.
it's just hard to enforce masked games i think. people have their own ways of talking and acting, and you can't exactly make that against the rules, so it's inevitable that some people will get outed.
it's the difference between: do we want anon masks to be a giant disguiser mini-game where we try to guess each other's identity, or is anon masks supposed to be some sort of equalizer in terms of playerbase
