Hey so apparently there was a hey arnold movie that never was produced and just came out recently? And it was amazing?
It's great that they finally wrapped up the show(heard they also made it to see if there'd be enough interest in a renewed season), so it was really great seeing a conclusive ending to the show :D
definitely recommend it to anyone who watched the show before
I typed that post like 3 times over trying to respond to you properly and I still think I haven't.
It's on my shortlist so trust me when I say it's worth a try, but not in the way that some people paint it out to be because of what they thought the show may end up being based on the first season alone, not to discredit the show at all.
Ehhh, I wouldn't nail it down as that at all. In part the hype was built by the fandom where it was not needed. Don't give it a ton of attention but if you do want an enjoyable storyline and quite a few plot twists along the way it's worth trying, assuming you're into the characters and themes.

i've always heard good things about gravity falls regarding its supernatural appeal but i have high expectations for a genre of that sort, animated or not. will the cryptic element pique my interest? is there a self-contained mythology in the show that's worthy of navigation and attention?
By all means though these are all my personal favorites, but the ones that I'll continue to return to rewatch time and time again to relive my favorite moments and such.
Hey error! Shortlist, aside from One Piece and Steven Universe(My two absolute favorite shows), let me aim at a few other shows that I don't talk about much, even if they're popular;
Old Samurai Jack(new one isn't bad by any means) Gravity Falls(Now that the fandom is gone it can be properly enjoyed without being ruined) and of course, Avatar: The Last Airbender paired with Korra all fit into my top 5/6 shows
I really enjoy shows with a lot of effort is put into not only the world building and characters but the creativity that comes behind it. It's obvious that the show isn't just a product to be sold or to produce toys but in fact a world where viewers are invited to take a step into and experience what the writers have to offer. If (anyone reading this post) hasn't tried any of these top cartoons(skipping anime is acceptable) I cannot recommend them enough.

alyssa, please give me a shortlist of your current most beloved animated series
Duck tales is back! Glad to see them uploading the intro episodes to youtube because damn I wouldn't have known without it. Honestly, along with staying true to the original I love the pure quirkiness and heart of the show that is already showing itself like the old show. I've been really weary with new cartoons recently but this one has me hooked.
Samurai Jack has been great, I wish it was longer simply because of how good it was but I don't mind how a few parts feel rushed, hoping steven universe keeps up it's gigantic momentum!
Besides that yesterday I finished Naruto at last, spanning over 770 episodes with movies and a sequel I don't plan on touching with a 10 foot pole, I gotta say that this was really a you grow up with show, anyone who starts this out later on in their lives may too easily see its flaws and dislike it. Just rambling on about it though.
Too many filler but skipping through it all there's some really great parts of the show, I gotta say after finishing it I once again am reminded on why it was popular.
Glad to finally put it behind me after starting it 8 or 9 years ago.
I've been watching almost nothing because of the user above me taking up all my time~
I watched a mini-short of 'Welcome to my life', I'm used to so many shows being so high in energy levels like it's a 10 minute sugar rush that seeing this is a real nice change in pace. The ending is really sweet, too.
Kono Suba season 2: Really KonaSuba is a fanservice harem comedy satire done to extremely high levels of funny. Some of the jokes are really hit or miss with me but seeing the tropes I hate being mocked still gets a chuckle or two out of me, and season 2 carries on this torch just fine.
Little Witch Academia: Considering it's studio I've set high expectations out of this. So far it feels like it's just taking it's own spin on the Harry Potter series, but I've still got another 20 episodes to justly judge. Besides the opening scene there's not been anything /that/ amazing yet, but it's cute I guess
Ao no Exorcist: This 2nd season is pretty sh*tty just like the first one but I'm watching it purely because it's 13 episodes and I found the main character hot like 5-6 years ago I owe it this much
