I tried to comp a setup this round which I think is a lot of fun and would probably be 55/50 maf sided with 100 plays but it didn't even get a chance, mostly I think because of the stats due to the small sample pool.
Featured only or half new competitive setups is a way to solve that issue.

No we don't have to do that. All players should be free to decide what they comp. We don't always have to comp new setups. One new setup each round is enough.

idk how practical this is. it sounds like a good idea but you would have to convince all 3 trophy winners to not comp the older setups lol

I thought the argument was that featured setups were being used as a point farm, if comp setups were being featured idk why that would be the case
There is no need to suggest new setups. We don't have to confuse the new players with new setups. If the new setup is featured but not played in comp then the new player will have no idea what he did.
What we should do is win a trophy and comp a new setup. Let the comp players play it out and if it is popular then feature it so that when it is comped again the noobs like edark know how to play it.
Thats what I literally said. It is already being done. We feature the previously comped setups so the new players learn it then they are comfortable joining it for gold heart later.

You may have a point pranay, but don't you think your usual fancy pants/guns n hookers player would feel more comfortable joining a comp game for the first time in a setup they have already played before
Miguel you are right, but featured setups have to be changed frequently so we don't have to worry about what setup it should be. We should just let the red heart players practice on comp setups so they can gain confidence to play comp. So we can just feature the comp setups like mods have been doing. There is no need to come up with new setups.

So I think BV or BV with suspects instead of millers would be pretty cool, learning wise I think it helps a lot
