Was hurt and heal all along epicmafia's matchmaking service as a prelude to Valentine's Day?
It just made people realise how much solitude they have been living in all along, when they resorted to actions like healing themselves and hurting others. After all, love was meant to hurt.
That being said, being single is great in some ways. For one, you can afford to stay in a smaller space. Now, it's not just smaller because there's only one person; it's smaller because one person doesn't need to move around much. All those savings aside, you also find it easier to stick to strict lifestyle regimens, since you can spend all your time alone.
Some say being single lets you have more time to spend with your single friends, but I bet to differ. Single pringles are, by definition, couch potatoes. They sit around in bed all day, and fantasise about marrying virtual anime characters. Of course, I can't deny these characters' tantalising appeal. Back to the point, we can now extend the meaning of "single" to not just mean "without a significant other" but to also mean "without significant friends". Without a supportive social network, you yourself will retreat and mark your official membership in the Single Pringle Social Group. Well, I guess that may be something worth celebrating since it is one of the most exclusive groups, with no social interaction between members (see above for the elaboration on these potato chips).
What then, about the benefits of being connected to a significant other? Well, one of the things which caught my eye the most is being able to give yourself the excuse to get a double bed. This IKEA single bed costs $229 (http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/categories/departments/bedroom/16285/) whereas the double bed costs $249 (http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/categories/departments/bedroom/16284/). I mean, I only have to pay $20 to get bed space for my partner to sleep. Now, some may begin to cringe at the insignificance of beds and relationships, but I dare say that they are the bedrock of being together (literally in all ways).
Now, I have just given some of the most important points to consider when getting into a relationship. Practically, it's better to get into a relationship (just consider the bed price per capita, ignoring other costs like space). What do you think?
