I was thinking, it sucks that EM doesn't have a wiki , and lobby chat is pretty funky (lets be honest)
So this is a little project that's off-site, but uses secure registration through a neat token feature to prevent spam or impersonation. It doesn't need your EM password, but you need a valid EM account to signup.
Should it have an option for anonymous forum posting / wiki editing? Because it could be interesting. But it might start drama... I'm thinking of maybe giving it an oekaki or imageboard too hmmm... any ideas besides "give it more aesthetics and things to click on" for a tool meant to compliment EM???
(prototyping phase....)
If you're a computer nerd this'll be open source
post things in the comments
they put a code generated by my program in their EM user profile someplace, then can delete it later when they're confirmed. it does not use your EpicMafia cookies, password, email, etc
how do you ensure that someone has an EM account, asking for the cookie? aren't EM cookies so insecure that you can hijack them just by asking for them? i would be scared to even login to something that reads EM cookies JS
- should it use BBcode or Markdown? or have a toggle?? - should the forum show someone's EM W/L stats? - should there be a toolbar for formatting (including media embeds) and smilies?
ive been working on a forum. account linking to EM works and my lil forum can also embed youtube videos or imgur images with magic
also thinking of adding an imageboard
different chat features are being played with too, maybe there'll just be an embedded discord window or something (cuz people are afraid of IRC)
