even if the op is an idiot, there's no reason to delete the topic, especially if it was a complaint.

Leaking alts is not OPI it's abusing your power as a moderator which breaks an unwritten rule.

I can't really comment on what happens in sandbox, but in main mods don't actively out people's alts, especially if they've requested to remain secret.

Yeah, they just tell people you're someone you're not

Lmao fair enough, but all mods have it nowadays which is what I was referencing.

That falls under "the third part site Arcbell has probably made"

Pretty sure they just turn on monocle and they can see it?

You realise if a mod goes on someone's profile they can see all the linked accounts? It's not like they have to actively do something, it's literally just there.

It's not exactly hard to create a secret alt that can't be linked to your main anyway.

Nah, only the admins can see that. Mods need to use whatever broken third party site Arcbell has probably made

Moon, if we were to have proof of a mod doing it, which admin would it be best to send to?

Okay, moon knows.

I think it depends on the context, or perhaps there is a disagreement with the powers that be. In the thread for Round 448 it was confirmed that outing alts is not OPI. However, perhaps it is if a mod does it without good reason (e.g. throwing games) then it could be seen as an abuse of power which could be translated into OPI.

Them being a site mod makes it privileged information. If they out it--- put it all together you have outing privileged information

Congrats on deciding to make the best out of your day, juke

As for a strawman, lol. OPI is outing personal information, I find people having their alts publicly displayed on their profile outing that information, such as any facebook account would be.

And with that, any information that you can obtain through a mod that you can't a normal user is against the rules. Lucid's told Nathan this if I'm correct, feel free to run that by him.

In other words my strawman is perfectly usable, enjoy your day bud!

Outing alts is not OPI. You can believe it is, but you'd be wrong. This was dealt with in the main lobby not long ago when I was threatened with OPI for outing an ex-mod's GT alt.
