Last time I tried to talk to Emil on Skype he pretended to have tourettes syndrome so he wouldn't have to reply to me so I'd prefer Nathan in this situation as the face of the adminship.

poke you - Today at 1:31 AM looks pretty quiet in sissyville tonite. all the girls sleeping ?
Note that I'm not talking about situations where the offending party claims they didn't know cheating was against the rules. I'm talking about situations where people have accidentally shared their role in a group chat without realizing someone from the groupchat is in their game, that sort of thing which has happened before.
"yeah i'm really sorry about that, it was never my intention to cheat. i shouldn't really have been playing ranked at 4AM when i was that tired. i didn't delete the picture because i honestly didn't realise until someone outright said that i had outed the mafia, and by then the damage was already done. i kept the picture up after that because it would have seemed incredibly suspicious if everyone was saying i posted a picture of the game which I then deleted. i hope you can understand from the screenshot that my intent was to show the joking around we were doing in the graveyard rather than the mafia. i also understand that despite all this, i still did what i did, and i'm fully willing to accept the consequences of my actions, whatever they may be. apologies for up on this one, emil."
In all seriousness, this is not by a long-shot the first time cheating that was very obviously accidental has been given lenience. It usually doesn't even get a note.
We the mods understand that it's unfair to give people cheating violations in situations where they very very obviously had no intention of actually sharing their role, but did so through lack of diligence or goofy thoughtless actions, and rest assured that moderator or not, if there's a situation where it's abundantly clear cheating was an accident no one's going to have a gruesome nasty cheating vio stapled to their account for it.
Contrary to popular belief, mods can make mistakes and aren't perfect

i've watched keyboard warriors scream about biased mods and then as soon as they take up the mantle become the very thing they campaigned against. when will you people realize that a certain degree of bias is a human trait?
UM if he legitimately shared roles in a Skype group and then mods broke the game then that is SUPER wrong........
why is the game broken????????
It was a mistake and quite clearly so, thus he got a note.
If it was a mistake, like, he accidentally pasted a screenshot or something??
If it was truly a mistake then its whatever but I don't know how you accidentally take a screenshot of current came roles and then share it with the mod chat, unless it was meant to be shared elsewhere???
i dont know if he did it or not so pls dont assume im being threatening rn
yeah exactly, he was gonna show the spam that happend during the night and kinda forgot that he showed all of the roles at the same time (it makes sense in the context)
considering it was 04:00 in his local time I think its safe to say that the intention was quite clearly not to cheat, but obviously quite wrong regardless, thus me and pingu openly reported him and gave him a note

So, if it was a mistake, did you only give him a note so that the community wouldn't flip as hard as they could have? lol
he doesnt even deserve a note if you know 100% it was a mistake
and it also wouldnt have been bad if somehow the game mysteriously broke after it happened, since it doesnt even happen that often -_-
Well considering he was talking about an ongoing game I find it worthy of a note regardless, since that is in itself discouraged and bad. Bebop actually asked for the violation himself since he felt bad over his mistake, but I didnt think it was worthy of it since it was clearly a mistake.
essentially the story goes that i died and i was mocking famed epicmafia dot com user in the graveyard by spamming "CODY GO DO SOME MATH" repeatedly, someone else said in mod chat "lmao this gy" so i pasted a screenshot of me spamming it, not realising that you could see the mafia's names in the ss. it was 5AM at the time and i was so tired that i thought the other mods constantly saying "DELETE THAT" were saying it because cody would be mad when he saw it, when someone finally said that i'd shown the mafia in the screenshot the damage had already been done. apologies jeff <3 <3
it's okay, the pseudo apology and Nathan's Skype replies were enough to realize what a joke this is.
