I'd still DQ you from this round if I were admin, in all honesty. It's probably not entirely your fault, which is why I'd forego the full on cheating violation and the ban, and the mods are probably just as much to blame as anyone else for being like "yeah okay cool it's totally fine for you to run and do your thing with your SO regardless of circumstance."

But I'm also way more strict that what's probably necessary and half the site would be banned from competition if I were allowed the ability to make these decisions, which is obviously pretty bad from Phil's perspective since he'd be losing a bunch of interest or whatever.
