Welcome to Forum Mafia 19: Forbidden Actions!

Game is over. Ended on Day 5

Mafia wins! This game was ranked.

The mastermind's behind this game are Gerry, Mori and myself.

The game will be played like any other Forum Mafia game, with one twist! Every player will be given an action pregame. If the action they are given is performed, they will be Killed from the game, with their forbidden action being shown afterward. More information will be given under Rules.

I. The Schedule:

72 Hour Days. 24 Hour Nights

  • If you don't submit actions by the deadline I will consider you taking no action.

II. The Set Up:

  • There is no "possible roles list". I promise not to get too crazy.

  • Mafia will have Day chat. And will know each other's Forbidden Actions

  • You will get an Alignment PM. Town or Mafia and your alignment will not change.

As explained earlier, there will be forbidden actions. YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR FORBIDDEN ACTION. If found to, you will be mod killed. If you commit the forbidden action, you will be killed from the game. You may speculate forbidden actions of others within the game. If asked whether your forbidden action is something, you cannot confirm or deny. You can also not soft or hint as to what your forbidden action is.

We also will be strict about ISP and replacements. If you think for any reason you MAY have to be replaced, do not sign up. We also reserve the right to deny anyone from joining, if we believe you will troll, isp, sub.

IV. Votes:

  • Votes must be made in the format Vote: Playername. Bolding is done using the tags [b][/b].

  • I will not take any other type of vote. If I can't tell who you're voting, I won't take it.

MOD NOTE Mori will be giving out a token prize to a player from each alignment who the hosts determined played best.

Speaking of Transcends "fos" on impoetic.. she never had any reaction to it, in fact, she didnt even consider he might be mafia. I thought okay, it happens right? But then I read her interactions with ponylove on page 81. Basically, pony tells impoetic she has no reason to be voting her. Impoetic responds with a pretty emotional post with caps and extra punctuation saying pony has been tunneling her (impoetic) so thats her reason. How come impoetic didnt have this reaction to transcend then?

Oh and denial I'm glad you bring up that instance because I remember I hesitated on babylonia because I thought she was genuinely frustrated when you were pushing on her. But looking back it makes more sense that she would be frustrated at a town pushing on her than if it was a bus like in the case with Transcend where it seemed pretty fake.

There is one thing that convinced me impoetic was maf so let me quote that once I find it.

a. guilty testing as in getting a report on someone that was false and indicated they were scum.

regarding role mechs I honestly have no idea but I read that mafia members were given fakeclaims in forum mafia games and would have no incentive to claim my real role instead of, say, doctor.

And re: babylonia and transcend, the two mafia literally tried to doubtcast on something NO ONE ELSE believed in, but didn't push it and ended up buddying me because I thought they were both town WHICH WAS TERRIBLE OF ME but too terrible to do intentionally

So I was thinking that considering the number of town prs, it's likely that mafia should have more than just a roleblocker. It crossed my mind that a role cop is actually a good complement to a roleblocker because together they can find town prs and stop them, right?
I went back to reread with this in mind. On D3, I think, when impoetic outed her role she says that she meant to guilty test but didnt because the people who she wanted to test weren't around. The first time I read this I didnt think much of it but on rereading I was like..wtf? How could a role cop even guilty test if they dont even get alignment reports? It just didnt seem like a genuine thought process a town role cop would have.

Also, on this day babylonia points out how its weird that there are two claims (retti and impoetic) with essentially similar powers then at the end of it she is just like "but whatever I tr both of them" and drops it. Why would she do that as mafia if she actually had something solid to start pushing on one of them if they were both town it would be a win win situation for her.

Transcend did something similar he had said something like "one of retti or impoetic is mafia" and once retti was confirmed town he said nothing. I even pointed this out and it was a big reason why I had sr Transcend. He did go on to still express a sr on impoetic but he did nothing to push it. Like in babylonia's case he had an opportunity to push on a town IF impoetic was town by saying "hey remember how I said one of retti or impoetic is maf".

Anyways.. I have a little more so bear with me.

tbh, i guess itll like fall under the guns n hookers clause where you will die first and it'll be a 1v1 on shears (even though this is kinda weird, because if this had happened on another day, its not like you wouldve just died and we would've had to have somebody else hammer the lynch
