For the freelance work I was doing I was on payrolls for a few companies and venues so I didn't actually have to worry about that too much. Most of them offered insurance for work as well which was good. The outliers were shows i organized myself and smaller festivals I worked.
The thing is if I didn't get this job I had no gaurentee I'd land a decent job other than the freelance stuff I was doing, otherwise as much work this was I'm glad I had a job relevant to my field after working for 6 months as a contract worker doing any job that came up to pay the bills inbetween shows.
O wow the end is near. I remember when you were on the forums here making the decision to go, asking for input. So my question to you is, if you could re-make that decision, would you still set sail?
