What do you think about the public access to guns? I am not american, and I may be poorly informed, but I think U.S.A is the only major country that allows its citizens to have access to weapons of mass destruction. Many americans believe it's a mistake, but even more believe it's a trait, something embedded in the american culture and no one should be allowed to take away "their guns".

Dumb thread, and it's always foreigners who think they know how to fix our problems. Spoiler alert: you don't. We aren't banning guns, so we can stop talking about it.

I said that I may be poorly informed; my main source of information is the media which exaggerates all the time, but I had an american friend that was studying in my country who told me that people there really love guns and you can buy them on the internet without any background checks. I don't even know if this is all true, but that's why I asked in the first place...
