Hello everyone,

This will be the last night that I will ever play a game on this website. I will play my final game tonight (September 5th), make a final post here, and then that will be it.

As some of you probably know, I've been set on leaving for a while at the start of September since about mid July or so. If you are wondering why, it is simply because I am going into my third year of university now and want to focus on getting very good grades in order to ensure that I get the career that I want in life. There are also going to always be things that are more worthwhile and productive than playing games on EpicMafia.

But aside from that, I am also leaving because the quality of the average game is very, very bad these days, and I don't have fun playing in the majority of the games I join. When I joined EpicMafia (September 2011), there were great games that frequently got played, and it was always fun to play in them and watch and learn from other players while also having fun playing some of the best mafia that I would end up ever experiencing. Sure there's the occasional good game, but that isn't really worth sticking around for when I have much more important things to focus on. Also, I don't enjoy the disrespect people give each other on such a frequent basis here--this community, while it has it's good parts, is definitely hands down the single most toxic one that I have ever come across on the internet--also, I don't want to read about or be around all the "politics" here, they honestly are very petty and childish at times to me. If I am going to leave, then I am going to leave, and not come back.

That being said, I want to use this as an opportunity to thank everybody that I've met on here that has helped me learn how to be better at mafia along with everybody who has been friendly and kind to me here as well. All of you know me as Giga, but some of you know me as Justin, too (I haven't preferred being called by my real name on this website for some time now though). I've been here 5 years as of September 3rd. I joined this website when I was a fifteen--I am now twenty. All of you wonderful people know who you are, and surely you will understand that there are literally hundreds of you to mention... that's a lot of people, lol. I learned a lot during my time here--this was the first non flash games website I frequented, ever (other than Neopets, lol)

I would also like to thank everybody who put any part of their valuable time over the years into making this website a better place. Obviously starting from lucidrains, if not for all of these people, we would not have the EpicMafia that we all visit and (at least try to) enjoy as often as we do come on.

I would also like to apologize to the people that at times I was rude and disrespectful to--know that when I was in games, it almost always was nothing personal and I was almost always doing what I felt as though I thought would help me to win the game. The reason I say almost always is because when I was sixteen years old I went through depression, and it is definitely possible that around that time I would take things personally in games. But either way, It gets competitive sometimes and I apologize once again if I offended anybody, in and or out of game.

This is, for the most part, largely unedited, and I'm trying not to waste people's time by making this too long, and I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this--which is also why I created it in the Off-Topic subforum. So once again, thank you to all those who helped create this website, to those who help and or helped keep it running, and to those who help and or helped make it a better place.
