Yeah there isn't, it's kind of pointless to try fixing in my opinion as the leader of anything will obviously try to make things as best as possible in terms with their viewpoints and opinions, not just for epicmafia, but for pretty much anything, anywhere
he'd probably be able to make it sound like a good idea

consistency is an issue
Yeah, but I don't really know how to go about fixing that when there's the accompanying shift in viewpoints whenever an admin gets replaced.
well we also can't expect every admin who comes in to blindly sheep the previous admin's direction, especially if it isn't what they want
Exactly. It's a bit complicated though, especially when there was a common perception that the admin before was wrong about a fair number of things. Like I said, there's no smooth way to go about it as far as I can tell.
It's a matter of the ego of whoever is adminning. A new admin always thinks they know better than the last therefore ignoring the precedent and changing things even if what was established before was fine

a lot of sites run a lot better because mods/admin set the rules and people follow them, but far too many users on this website just want to discuss loopholes to get away from the rules, or change them
i think if you have HC you should violate it, yeah? and if you don't then dont violate it, but stop making it complicated because i can't defend that lol
and i agree with you jocelyn, i dont like admins trying to change site values constantly, the lack of consistency is an issue
maybe if people stopped pming lucid to deadmin the admins who aren't really doing too many things wrong then it wouldn't be an issue lol, but everyone's a critic and there will always be haters on whatever admin is admin, and there will also be change as no one will devote their full life to epicmafia other than the one true god of curry pranay himself

but what should remain consistent becomes lost in complaint threads and bitter arguments

The best part about being an admin is that it doesn't f*cking matter as long as you know you are doing the right thing and enforcing the rules correctly.
but all admins have their own subjective viewpoint on what is correct therefore it changes with each tenure
Unless you follow precedent but then you get the admins that are douchebags and don't care either way. ;)
but precedent is a thinly-veiled argument people use in both manner, we both know that 'precedent' changes all the time
good or bad
Precedent shouldn't change only be amended. That's the point.
