(or one reason why I think it is, anyway). People get 240 points for playing gallis hunter which is a nothing setup, or other featured setups (up to 480 points if they win with happy hour for their role as fool or mafia in gallis hunter), and we all wonder why the playerbase is worse in competitive games. Really? Stop x2ing stuff like this in reds. it's usually done because a well-known player or mod wants to farm up their alt but other new users do this too and go into competitive games knowing literally nothing except how to selfvote
No, competitive mafia is the worst because inevitably -every- round x number are booted from the Round for cheating, which just means there are likely others NOT being caught. It makes it pointless to even run when you have people throwing for other people or on skype cheating or FB or whatnot. It's a waste of time to try trophying. The only advantage it has is you're slightly less likely to be fear killed and at least some games you get better content and get to actually scumhunt and play the game. It's just a real disappointment knowing I'll likely never trophy because I don't cheat.....(also I'm bad at the game)....but more importantly I don't cheat!
Lucid should just bring back the mechanic if you already have an account with the required points all alts will be able to compete. I think you had to make your account in comp for it to work that way though.
my point is serious setups only should be x2d, if you want gallis hunter or reverse or whatever available during paused/off days sure but you don't have to x2 it, just gets more meatheads in comp every round

cmpetitive mafia is cancer, at least ppl try to win in red heart games
true, i don't think reverse/gallis are blacklisted anymore so theres no real reason to x2 them just because its during the downtime when they can be played
